Absolutely Amazing Beachside Dining Experience! Louie & Nachos Beach Bar in Frederiksted, St. Croix, is hands down one of the best beach bars I’ve ever visited! If you’re looking for a laid-back, authentic island vibe with stunning oceanfront views, this is the place to be. Situated right on the beach, you get a front-row seat to all the action—snorkeling, jet skis, and even the pier in the distance. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of St. Croix while enjoying fantastic food and drinks. If you’re expecting air conditioning, you won’t find it here—but trust me, you won’t need it! The refreshing sea breeze and the relaxed atmosphere make for an unforgettable dining experience. We ordered the Hangover Nachos with shrimp, and they were absolutely delicious! Instead of traditional tortilla chips, they use house-made potato chips, which added an incredible crunch and flavor. Honestly, this dish alone is worth the visit—it’s the ultimate hangover cure! One of the standout features of this spot is the a la carte tacos menu, allowing you to mix and match different flavors for just $7–$8 each. We took full advantage of this and tried a variety! My husband went for the Jambalaya and Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos, while I opted for the Vegan, Blackened Shrimp, and Fajita tacos. Every single one was bursting with flavor—except for the Vegan taco, which wasn’t my favorite, but hey, you can’t win them all! Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The location is also super convenient—just a 10-minute walk from the pier, making it an easy stop for cruise passengers or anyone exploring Frederiksted. If you’re in St. Croix, Louie & Nachos Beach Bar is an absolute must-visit. Great food, amazing views, and the perfect beach bar experience—I will definitely be back next time I’m on the island!

My sister, my daughter, and I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday. This was my second visit to this restaurant. First visit was three years ago. I absolutely love the atmosphere at this restaurant. The views are wonderful, and it’s airy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and sociable, but still professional. They make very good food. We ordered a mahi taco, mahi quesadilla, and a shrimp wrap along with a virgin piña colada, a virgin strawberry lemonade crush, and a regular strawberry lemonade crush. We enjoyed all of our dishes. Everything was flavorful, seasoned adequately, moist, and had good texture. We had one discrepancy with the regular strawberry lemonade crush. It did not taste like there was alcohol in that drink. For the price that they charge for it, we were expecting to be able to distinguish that it did indeed have alcohol, but we could not. I brought this discrepancy to our server’s attention who went to check with the bartender. The bartender insisted that he put alcohol in there although we could not detect it at all. In any event, I just left it as is. This is the reason why I’m giving it a 4 and not a 5. Everything was great, but we could not resolve that drink discrepancy.

This place has a great view of the west side ocean of St. Croix, it's really beautiful, from the second floor bar it's amazing, I actually got so deep into the view that I disconnected from everything and even when people were talking to me, I was fascinated by the view, particularly during the sunset and afternoon times. The bartender was very friendly and helpful for the most part. The nachos were pretty good and I saw other dishes and all of them looked pretty good and they smell great, seems to be a mix of tourists and locals. Experience got impacted by a local at the bar who was very rude and intrusive in our conversation and started then to call me names and the staff/bartenders witness everything and didn't do anything to stop her and I was not int the mood to dealing with them so we left, so that was disappointing as I was having a great time with the view, drink and food, and not expecting how the staffed allowed one local to mistreated and disrespect tourists whom are spending money in their business. That is the only down side of the service. Other than that I'll recommend it 🔥🔥

Very horrible place to eat talking about food and drinks, I been in thousands of thousands different places in St Croix, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, USA and lot of foreign countries restaurants, but this place ??? they don’t have a clue about good dinning, cooking skills, flavors, varieties or specialties, the kitchen and the bar really, really need help immediately and I’m talking about self recent experience with family and friends that I invited and came all the way from Seattle WA .. what embarrassment, we ordered a GREEK SALAD with GRILL CHICKEN, not even close, ONLY lettuce and tomatoes dry chicken nothing else, tacos no flavor and sloppy they don’t have the metal holder, mahi was really over cooked and fishy no seasoning, we ordered Piña coladas (horrible) big chunks of ice not enough mixed not enough pineapple juice or coconut, very flat taste, supposed to be like a smoothie we got Pineapple juice some coconut taste in the rocks, we ordered a lemonade tasted like plain water with a drop of lemon, the service from female servers was good, I will never return back to this horrible place not even if is a free food, I won’t recommend it to anyone I will warn my family and friends, so shame that this place located second floor with sea view in f’sted town can not do better food service than this, hope they do improvements immediately otherwise won’t succeed, will eventually...
