It was a fabulous place to eat the only thing is is I think you need to open up the second line not just to take out orders or to go orders you have too many people heard up against the front door you need to let these people sit down or mega to go order have one of your hostesses get them a drink get them a menu like it's a normal restaurant the overall atmosphere here is awesome good country folk but you need to make it feel a little bit more personable I love your sign on the wall that says you gather on the table at the table to make memories very true statement I like to pick unique places to eat like this little country bumpkins unheard of restaurants and they tend to be amazing but this restaurant has a little too much of the city life and a country style bring it back to the country and it'll be perfect And you're the first restaurant that I have found since I left the state of Iowa to have a true homemade rhubarb pie got tears to my eyes to have like a taste of...

This is a MUST STOP on any destination! I discovered this online while looking for places to eat breakfast on our way to Table Rock Lake. The reviews were excellent so we decided to take this route. Couldn't be happier we stopped. Breakfast buffet is all they serve on Saturdays but the choices are almost as many as what they have on their menu. (EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH)😋 There was so much to choose from and it was all SOOOO good I can hardly decide what to comment on but I have to say, the caramel rolls are the best I've ever tasted and the bread pudding was to-die-for delicious! It was extra busy the day we traveled through because the rodeo was in town, but we had no wait. We had 4 adults, a 5 year old and a 19 month old and we all ate till we couldn't fit another bite in. They kept the buffet full and the coffee brewed. Great value! Friendly people! They said Wednesday their special is bierocks. Can't wait to travel...

This place opened a few days ago in the old Western Diner location after a significant remodel. They're only open for breakfast and lunch right now and stop serving at 2:00. From 2:00 to 4:00 they have coffee and baked goods available. From the conversation I had with some of the staff they'll eventually be open for dinner. I hope they'll be open on weekends too, options in Fredonia are pretty thin right now. The food is pretty great and the pies are incredible. Seriously, maybe the best cherry pie and cinnamon rolls I've ever had. They also have casseroles available for carry out. You should definitely give this...

Great small town diner with ample parking. The place is very clean and maintained very well. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Great home cooking dishes. Fresh rolls and strawberry jam. I don't now how to describe the jam... It was so good. I've never had any jam that was even close to it. The BBQ beans are excellent. I didn't get any pie but everyone raved about it. Especially the bumbleberry pie. I will get some next time. They are not open weekends or for supper, so be sure to check before driving to Fredonia, but make sure you do. The drive is well worth it. Highly recommend.

This Menonite-owned and operated restaurant has a great variety offered on their menu and an efficient setup. Walk in and order for takeout or dine-in at the counter, then find a seat. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and they offer frozen or refrigerated take-home meals if you'd like to stock up. Clean restaurant with nice decor and plenty of seating - located right across the street from Finders Keepers Antique Shop, which I recommend walking over to if they're open. There is a free parking lot, but pay attention to their busy times, as this restaurant fills up quickly due to its popularity!
