Sipes Smokehouse BBQ — Restaurant in Freedom Township

We were passing through the area and decided to stop. We ordered smoked mac n cheese as our sides and told they wouldn't be hot for 15mins. We decided to wait for it and it was just warm and tasted like macaroni with velveeta cheese and burnt charcoal, it wasn't a good smoke flavor. My bottle of iced tea was barely cold and my cheese steak was an open faced bun half burnt with about 1lb of meat, peppers and onions that were all charred. No way to pick it up. I tried esting it with my fork, but the flavor was so unpleasant, I ended up eating two bites and throwing it in the trash.

I saw chicken in bags flooded in blood pulled from coolers on the back of a truck in 89 degree heat and clearly did not seem to be cold enough because the guy opened the drain on the cooler and tan looking liquid ran out for quite awhile. No one was wearing gloves and the guy cooking was handling the chicken with his bare hands.

I'm not a priss when it comes to eating from food trucks or eating bbq foods cooked outside, I'm a country girl, but my food was nasty and I wouldn't eat...

We had Sipes BBQ cater our wedding, and the food/service was absolutely outstanding. Bryan and his wife Audrey gave us a number of options to choose from in order to stay within our budget, and checked in frequently during the planning phase of our wedding to ensure everything was on track.

For the amount and quality of the food coupled with day of service, the cost was a steal. Our package included fruit/veggie appetizers (wings also available), three types of meats, four sides, drinks, and cups/plates/napkins/utensils for not only what they provided, but also for our cake.

We also stop at their food truck every time we're in the area, and have always had excellent food and service. I cannot recommend...

This is perhaps the worst BBQ I have ever had. The chicken (that was deep-fried and not barbecued) was dried and very overcooked. The macaroni salad was so so. And the coleslaw was rancid. I had to spit it out immediately and couldn’t even finish eating it. The service was not great but not also not terrible. The guy that took my order asked me several times to repeat it. The price was not worth what the food was that was given. Maybe some of the other food there is better- I don’t know, but I will definitely not go back to this location. Once...
