Ann’s Donuts — Restaurant in Fresno

The one missing one star is for not including glaze WHO flipping does that?!!😡🤬😭😭😭 and for the amount of oil on the donuts. I squeezed a piece of donut and oil ran on my fingers.

I appreciate the owner/worker for comping me 4 donuts.

In short, I only specified 4 flavors and added a 1/2 dozen Ann's thinking I would get 2-3 regular glaze.

Long story: My coworker loves this place. I bought a box of donuts for that coworker. Good things is that they were fresh, but maybe too fresh because look at how they came out. I held the box carefully like the guy told me. I think the donuts are too greasy. There's probably why the icing slid off. I put one donut on a facial tissue and it turned completely oily in less than 5 minutes (*not pictured here) I later ate half a buttermilk donut and look at my fingers.

Im just upset because I ordered through door dash ($17) and i ASSumed they would put glaze donuts in the order because i ordered Anns donuts 1/2 dozen then paid extra to order specific flavors. Why they put a third old fashioned donut when i SPECIFICALLY paid $3 for two old fashioned. They did not include even ONE regular glazed donut. Like the fudge!!! I'm PMSing livid. Mostly with myself. I stopped here on my way to work. At first, I didn’t know if I should go in because the door was boarded up, but I saw through the window that the lights were on, and the shop was open. As I walked in, the man came from the back to take my order. He apologized for only having old-fashioned donuts. He was very pleasant with his cheerful attitude. I ordered my donuts and as I was paying, he told me that the shop had been broken into just the day before. The robbers broke the front door and stole the cash register and electronics. anyone else in that situation would have been grumpy, but not this guy. Visited this location December 2024.

Stopped in for this place as it was a typical spot I would visit when I was a resident in Fresno. We ended up getting a dozen doughnuts for the family, and another half dozen for ourselves to have for breakfast for a couple of days. Maple bars, Apple Fritters, sprinkle doughnuts, all fantastic to eat and no concerns. They even do filling in some of them and fill them for you while you wait with 2-3 different options for the day. Worth the wait. The bear claw and apple fritters are crazy huge, and good for a meal (or two).

Service was excellent, very relaxed atmosphere where we did dine in before taking doughnuts with us. Will definitely stop in here again when...
