RESTAURANT TIPICO OAXAQUENO — Restaurant in Fresno

For all you that call it authentic and traditional, it is not ! I just said that to clear it up since there is this big consumption that it is, but that is the very least of "authenticity" and "traditional" . So, if anyone wants to go have dinner, by all means, I mean I guess you could spend at around 15 dollars on food that tastes inauthentic, by all means, go ahead . I just wanted to get that cleared up . The other thing that really bothered me is that I get that you are trying to be this big shot restaurant that charges more than it should, but please have some human decency for God's sake . Look at the area you're in, it's not a very good btw if you haven't seen p.s. It was so sad to see a homeless guy kicked out for being who he is, without a sustainable shelter . Now, let me talk about the food, and no that's not it . The rice felt frozen, they were canned beans, and very bad chicken . And at least get some better musicians who know how to play, please, no offense musicians if you are reading this . I had a huarache oaxaqueño and that was good, my husband ordered a chile relleno and he said it was fine (presentation wise could have been better). My daughter ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries and it was not good. As you can see by pictures it was burnt I didn’t see the bottom until she flipped it and said this doesn’t taste good. She had to pick off all the burnt section. Also what kind of fries are those they look so sad and didn’t give her that many. Sad to say the quality has gone downhill…if you don’t know how to make a basic cheeseburger and fries don’t offer it on the menu stick to Mexican/oaxacan food. Also the waitress was not in a good mood I guess they only make red salsa because I asked for salsa on the side and she said “it doesn’t come with any” then she points at the complimentary salsa they offer with chips (not really complimentary because their prices are not cheap) and says that’s the salsa. I guess they only have red salsa and no other kind. So disappointed with quality of food but more with the customer service. They need to do a better...

Yesterday 7/14 I ordered food to go. I frequently order take out from this restaurant. I am always satisfied with the food, I recommend the tamales de mole and tlayudas mixtas.

However the service yesterday was very bad. When I called in the order the woman who answered the phone was rude. When we picked up our order my husband went inside to get it and she also had a bad attitude so it wasn’t just my impression when I called in. When we got home (we live across town in West Fresno) part of our order was missing so I had to drive back to pick up my cold food. All I got was a meek “I apologize” from the male cashier. If anything it should be the rude female apologizing.

We all have bad days but this is not the first time I’ve encountered rude behavior from the female staff (I don’t remember if it was the same waitress). We chose to spend our money at your restaurant because the food is good and it is very unpleasant to encounter employees who...
