Mystic Ice Cream Cafe — Restaurant in Fruitland Park

Oh how I love love this place! There's a menu for the kids to choose from some pretty cool flavors. But even better there's a menu with ice cream that has alcohol in it and it is to die for! I always get the Rum Raisin malt shake (especially because they soak the raisins in the rum for a few days before they added to the ice cream. So when you bite into that raisin it's just pure Bliss of some really tasty Rum coming out) but you can't go wrong with that order! As a matter of fact you really can't go wrong with anything that you order from Mystic. We love you Mystic. Maybe this is embarrassing to say but we go in at least two to three times a week and have no regrets! By the way Mystic I'll be coming in to put together my Punch cards next week so my daughter can spin the wheel again soon, and hopefully when that Mystic t-shirt she's been dying for because she's so badly wants to wear it to school. She wants to wear it to school so she can show all of her 3rd grade classmates and all of her friends about OUR special ice cream shop LOL. We Adore you guys tons! Normally I would rate this place a 5 I am here every week sometimes twice. Wednesday for name that tune and Thursday trivia. I’ve never complained before even though I found the two young girls working on Thursday they are stand offish and not welcoming at all. They do their job fine just not friendly but who cares I’m not there for them. I got here today at 6:30 and waited in line until 6:47 to order, still ok. Well the chick with the beautiful long hair and unappealing nose ring waited on me. As usual she was not friendly but she told me that Frankenstein flavor was not servable. I asked her how long til it was and she snarled 30 minutes at me. I did not want any other flavor, I come here for that ice cream (and cookie dough Oreo which wasn’t on the menu) I waited patiently in line for 17 minutes to have this chick snarl at me that she couldn’t serve it. The staff was really nice, the atmosphere was super fun, and the ice cream was divine. I got the blueberry cheesecake, and I would highly recommend it! The "base" of the ice cream gave me really high hopes for their plain vanilla. I know that some people may consider that a very basic flavor, but in the right circumstances it can be amazing. After my experience here tonight, I'm sure that they do it well. Even if you aren't always the biggest on sweets, this place is worth checking out.
