Visited this subway (6370 Airline Road, Fruitport Charter TWP) at 7:22pm on 2-27-2022. Picture this. Very dark night, no street lights, signage on strip mall where this store is located was not lit. There is one person exiting the store as I enter. The counter person, did not acknowledge me. His head was down. I never saw his face during my visit. He had a plastic bag covering his right arm and wrist. He is determined not to speak. But I know that game. I will wait on you. Finally he said something. I told him I didn't hear him. He was mumbling. After asking him to repeat himself 3 times, I understood he was saying, "bread." Oh, you want me to tell you the type of bun I'd like? Since I didn't want to be there any longer than I had too - way too spooky - I said hearty grain, no cheese, sweet onion, toasted. Do you know he actually had to ask me what type of sandwich I wanted after he cut the bun? That was the last time he spoke. When the chicken and bun had been toasted, I told him lots of green pepper and sweet onion sauce. More green pepper, more green pepper, more green pepper. Five pieces of green pepper is not a lot of green pepper. I paid, without another word from Mr. plastic bag covered hand. He removed the bag and it was covered with bandages from the knuckles to half way up to the elbow. Glad it wasn't anything sinister. But is a plastic bag adequate protection to keep what ever is wrong with your hand off my food? There was a woman in back of the store the whole time. If she is the manager, she knows nothing about customer service. You have to at least be cordial people! Avoid resembling a scary movie with a 18 rotten tomato rating. I will never go back. You ran me...
Read moreOn 2 separate occasions over the last 2 weeks (once at lunchtime and once after dinner) I've entered establishment to order a footlong meatball Marinara sub. Both times I was rudely confronted and both times was told they were out. Not that it will be ready shortly or in any time at all. OuT. From here on out I will venture out of my way to another business altogether. For franchise or corporate... whichever you may be, I'd suggest a team meeting or even a change in leadership as one such time it was a manager telling me yall were "out". And not just "out" but it was followed rudely by "next" as in let me help the next in line. Maybe I would have opted for something different. That is awful customer service period. I won't give it a 3rd shot. Subway may want to rethink how they are treating their customers considering its not the best sub shop option any longer. Out of all the names out there, you folks rank dead last (number 15 to be exact but not all are availablein our area). Look it up, and don't let your business fall to shambles because of bad management. For others who follow me or happen to see this, if able, I'd try Jersey Mike's for a great sub and Tony's in Ferrysburg for anything Italian for a sub option. Both great and actually fresh and amazing customer service 🙌 For anyone able to get to a Firehouse sub location, they make an amazing meatball sub 😀 P.S. whatever happened to Aaron at this Airline rd location... he had amazing customer service and was always working hard and very pleasant?!?...
Read moreI'm usually a positive reviewer but because today was the 4th time I've ordered from this location and they still can't seem to figure things out, I have to go with a one star review. When you order online and it tells you exactly what is wanted and they can't get it right its kind of baffling. Or when you click "check in" for the curbside pick up and wait 10 minutes for someone to bring out the food while you watched 6 other people go inside and have a sub made and leave before getting yours. I did have to leave my vehicle and go inside to get my order. Or even worse. Leaving your bag of food hanging outside on any random object you can find. What a...
