First time visiting the Triple Barrel Tavern in Fuquay-Varina and I have to say I was very impressed even on my short time there. I ordered a few mixed drinks and a couple pickle backs. This is basically a shot of bourbon or a whiskey/ bourbon followed by a shot of pickle juice. I know how it sounds but it is great, although I already like pickle juice. Basically after taking the liquor shot, follow it up with the pickle juice and voila! Paired perfectly with Jim Beam, the pickle juice neutralizes the effects of the liquor in your mouth and throat, i.e. burn, aftertaste, general liquor breath, etc. On to the food now. After my first drink, I looked over the menu and decided on boneless wings because they are usually quick and I have a friend who told me he thought the wings at the Triple Barrel are pretty good. I wasn't very hungry so I chose 6 wings and I decided to go with garlic parmesan as my wing sauce and a side of bleu cheese dressing for dipping. After only a quick 8 or 9 minutes I had my order in front of me, rather quickly I'd say. See the picture I posted, the boneless wings were fairly good sized compared to most other establishments in the area when ordering boneless wings. The wings were fantastic and fried to perfection. After I finished eating and had one last pickle back, LOL I paid my tab thanked the bartender for all the fun and witty banter and friendly conversation throughout my visit and left. Like I mentioned this was my first visit at the Triple Barrel, but it for sure will not be my last.

Awesome place for family, kids, or by yourself. Great beer selection, probably 50 plus to choose from. Best chicken wings I'd had in a long time. All the food looked good though. Big screen TVs everywhere so all kinds of sports games were on. They had a area for darts, and 10 billiards tables. (All Diamond tables) great service and a friendly staff. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun time.

It is a very decent place to hang out. There were plenty of pool tables if that's your thing but I liked the large space. It doesn't give you that cramped feeling some pubs do. The beer selection was also okay with some being very affordable. I don't remember the music selection though I have nothing to complain about. I'd definitely go there again.

The pool is great here. We went 2 days there over a 3 day period and spent quite a bit of time on their beautiful diamond tables. We had tried a few different things from the menu and weren't impressed by the food. After being there today to play pool and try more of their food and being disappointed by the food, my friend left an honest review recommending that you come by and enjoy the pool hall but suggested that you shouldn't come hungry. The manager took offence to this and came out saying that their food was mostly homemade, that maybe it was just our taste. Maybe when we order nachos we don't expect melted together bagged cheese(they use the same melted-on shredded cheese for the loaded tots). The coleslaw has a off taste to it. The burgers may be hand chopped in house but that doesn't make a good burger. She somewhat aggressively suggested that the review be removed but until they have better food, a 3 star is more than fair. It's a shame we had that interaction with her as I'm always willing to give food another chance but it seems like they might be a bit too pretentious to try to improve their food.

To be clear, incredible pool hall, all of the bartenders and waitresses that we interacted with were extremely courteous, the drinks are well made, but the food. Try it for yourself I suppose.

P.s. a chicken tender is not cut from a...

This place is terrible first its very hard to place a pick up order because they never answer the phone. This time what did it for me was that I called an advance to ask what time they close the kitchen they stated at 1 called back to place and order a few minutes later and they said they can’t take my order for pick up because they are only doing dine in. I asked what difference does it make if its dine in or pick they still have to cook the food. The employee had the audacity to tell me that it takes away from people placing order Inside the restaurant. Informed employees that we are in no rush and don’t mind waiting a little longer. Employee still stated that he cant place my order!!! Asked him that if I can go to the restaurant and place and order and just take it out he said he cant accommodate me. Employee said that I can talk to his manager at this point I don’t want to deal with a place that has horrible service. Said no thank you!! I can get better service at Macdonald’s just save your time and money spend your...
