Well this was a weird experience all together. I've loved La Farm's other locations and have never really had much issues with the food either. But it was weird from the first second we entered.

We were looking at the sandwiches on the menu and the lady said they were out. Out of all of them? She said they had some in the cold case (only 1 btw) and the 2 cold prosciutto ones up front. Then she says they don't have a kitchen so they can only offer certain items, and don't have any sandwiches (outside the breakfast ciabatta one). Ok. So I ask when they'll have a kitchen so we'll be able to order sandwiches. Well apparently they'll never be able to have a kitchen. Ok. So why have any of the perpetually unavailable items on the menu at all? She doesn't know of course. And the people that came in after me asked for sandwiches too and got the same earful. Next we ordered what was actually available. Stuffed baguette please. Only spinach and tomato left...she thinks. Ok fine. I asked for the white choco baguette 3 times before she looked at me and asked if I wanted one. Then she does the upsell thing and says if we spend $30 we get a free loaf of bread. Cool. I grab the take and bake scones that have no baking directions on them. I ask if they sell clotted cream (something that is usually served with scones...or various types of butter). She looked at me like I had 4 heads and couldn't understand what I was saying even after repeating it multiple times. Fine, no problem. She rung us up and we left. Got to the car and I asked husband if he got his breakfast sandwich and he checked drhe bag and it wasn't in there. I asked about the free loaf of bread ..nope. So we parked and went back inside to get the rest. No mention of it before we left the first time of course. These were just some of the weird interactions that happened while inside. Not much knowledge of the products offered...no logic in displaying a menu where half of it will always be unavailable...and apparently there's a microwave in the corner if I wanted to heat up my stuffed baguette. Yes, I want to microwave my "fresh" baked bread from a bakery that doesn't have a kitchen. Just an overall weird experience at...

I love this place but had an awful experience last Saturday and send them a private message about it but received no response.

There is no need to have rude staff no matter how many other good reviews you have or an abundance of custmers. This review does not apply to the wonderful women who work there and are always polite and professional.

Dear Sirs

I was until today a regular customer of your Fuquay Varina bakery. Still, I was subjected to abuse by a male member of staff tonight while sitting in your car park and he even went so far as suggesting I could be a thief who was waiting to rob your bakery despite the fact he acknowledged recognizing me as a regular customer.

I had been in the bakery having coffee with a friend, and after we finished, I received a call as I was getting ready in my car to leave. It was a delicate matter involving someone who needed urgent support so I was on the phone for a long period. However, the car park was empty, the store was still open as it was before 6.00 pm and the male person seemed to be disposing of rubbish when he came over to the car. He said the car park was private property and told me to leave. I explained I was just on a call and attempted to explain I was speaking to someone in distress, but he told me it was private property and to go. The bakery had money in it and it was unacceptable I should remain there. It only occurred to me afterward that he was accusing me of being a potential thief. I told him I was a regular and would be gone ASAP, but he became further abusive, telling me to leave.

His whole demeanor was incredibly rude, insulting, incredulous, and wholly unacceptable. It was completely unnecessary, and he could have handled the matter completely differently rather than being abusive for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I am known in your bakery and have always had nice interactions with your staff members, but this man is rude, and I will not be visiting your bakery again and will be sure to let my friends know of this appalling experience.

Yours...

To start I had an egg sandwich. The one that's a bacon egg and cheese. Now generally speaking being from long island area being charged 10 bucks for an egg sand isn't anything new to me but having it be heated up and handed to me for 10 bucks. Is an absolute miss for me. The bread is obvs excellent but the taste of warmed bacon and warmed eggs for the price point is a 4/10 for the price where you're mostly paying for good bread. Coffee is absolute tasty treat 8.6/10 and consistent. Today I went for my 2nd time getting the popular white chocolate baguette. 8.5/10 quite an incredible baked good. HOWEVER. You're gonna sit here and tell me that your staff of 4 ppl mostly lollygagging on a slow day. Won't heat up my baguette? But you'll sit there and heat up an egg sandwich? If it's busy I get it but I was the only one in line with my wife and "we don't heat up the pastries" at this point I'd only be going for the occasional loaf of bread when I want to cook something nice for myself. Maybe I'll pick the coffee. But I cannot get behind their food service. Heating up My baguette at home it was absolutely insane and if they served it that way. Omg would I be back in a heart beat.

Let me talk more about service now. Both times I went most of the staff speaking to 3 ppl hardly gave me any opinion or direction on what are the best items or their favorite items. It almost felt like a lack of understanding for what they are selling. "Oh everything" is the answer staff gives when don't know. That's what I got 2 of the 3 times. If this place is going charge what they want to charge. The staff should be more engaging with the customers give me a range cold dessert, bread, warm dessert all things in-between. I felt like more I asked about they liked I sensed annoyance.

Atmosphere is solid cute quite good vibe.

Overall. I'm sure you can't do the cooking for egg sandwiches there bc XYZ things in the back but if you're gonna sell a mid egg sand which 10 bucks leave in the fridge with the soups. Staff should be more willing and open...

I've been a regular customer of La Farm Bakery for several years, starting with their original outlet in Cary and later visiting their location in West Cary at Whole Foods. Recently, I had the chance to visit their Fuquay outlet, and I must say, it has been my favorite experience among the three locations. The food and coffee taste consistently excellent across all outlets, but the overall experience differs significantly. The Fuquay location stands out with its small-town charm, warm and welcoming staff, and cozy ambiance. The smaller size of the outlet adds to its charm, and the sufficient parking and prime location make it convenient. Though there's some outdoor seating available, I couldn't take advantage of it this time due to the rainy weather. The original outlet comes second in my rankings, while the West Cary location offers the least memorable experience, though the quality of the food remains good. The Fuquay outlet is a perfect spot for a quick coffee and bakery snack, and I'll definitely continue visiting it. Chocolate almond croissants and scones are wonderful!

Le Parisien had no flavor but I did enjoy the fresh submarine roll it was on. $13.00 for just a plain sandwich is outrageous. Blueberry Raspberry Tart - IND tasted like tangy plain cheesecake with a gram cracker type crust. Not any flavor at all of raspberry or blueberry! It was also very small for the $6.00+ price tag!!! This was also NOT a tart. Not impressed with my whole order. Found out after checkout they were out of the Ham and Cheese Croissant with no substitute offered and no time given to look.UPDATE 11/25/24 My Rustic Italian Bread came sliced and still warm!! Talk about fresh OMG!!!😁😁😁 At first I was disappointed with the 6.4 ounce size of my Garlic Herb Spread for $10.50 but then I tasted it. It is PACKED with flavor so a little bit goes a long way making this small package just right!!!❤️❤️❤️

We are weekly customers of La Farm for their sourdough bread. Today I tried the ham and cheese croissant for almost $8 after tax. I was expecting ham and cheese. Well when I cut it in half to my surprise, there was barely any ham and certainly no cheese. Charging that astronomical price for that is out of this world especially when there’s no protein like it was advertised. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but when I mentioned to the staff, her response was pretty unprofessional, saying that’s not their fault but Cary’s production team. Not to mention the croissant was flavorless and dried. Went straight to the trash. Won’t be coming back to this location for sure and just stick to it heir bread
