Sorry for the long story but i don't typically give bad reviews i just chalk it up to someone having a bad day which i also have and move on, instead of bashing with few words figured i should explain, but I'm horrible story teller so feel free to skip to the end. The lady working the counter was rude to everyone that approached to order and directed them to the kiosk and then me just trying to get my food and judging from things this appears typical behavior for her. Overall Typical McDonald's food nothing glamorous, this location is always busy but they do get through the lines fairly quick. I typically despise using mobile ordering apps but did on this occasion and although the app states if a product is not available it will say so on the app and not allow you to select it, after ordering I elected to pick up inside due to long line at window, while receiving my food I was informed frappe machine was down and asked if I'd like something in it's place, no problem this happens I informed her the drink was not for me and I would call my daughter to find out, when she returned I informed her I would prefer a refund on the frappe at which time I was told I'd have to do it on the app that I ordered it from, still I wasn't bothered from the slight inconvenience hell it wasn't even for me, she offered to sub for an oj instead which I accepted and it was at that moment all I could hear was her bad mouthing me to her coworkers loud enough for me to hear along with the other patrons which I'm partly deaf. She was so rude and unprofessional surely she had to know I could hear her, I mean if there wasn't the thin wall I could've touched her she was so close. Why is it my fault you are not informing your boss a machine is down so app can be updated, why am I being degraded even though I accepted your $2 oj after paying for a $4 frappe all without attitude? Typically I ask for a manager before posting reviews like this but I was not happy and work nights so already been up for 20+ hours and would not have ended well. Bottom line first time inside for me and will be the last, as long as you don't encounter this employee you should be fine but nothing special. If you read all of...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience that was totally unprovoked with a staff member through the drive-through, today, 10/18/24. . I simply pulled up to order and the employee’s rude tone was already apparent upon her asking me if I was going to use the McDonald’s app. When I replied, yes, and gave her my code, she let out a huge sigh, as if bothered that I was using my app. I ignored it and went on to order. I asked the question if all soda sizes were a dollar or the same price. Instead of simply saying, no ma’am, I received the response, “Ma'am, I dont know what the menu says. You have the menu out there.” Then I continue to hear her saying stuff under her breath over the speaker about me. From my lack of response, or allowing her to get under my skin, my silence provoked her to respond, “No, all the sodas are the same price.” As I sat there and listened to her disrespectful tone, I decided that I was not going to waste another minute interacting with her or McDonalds. I simply pulled off without saying anything. As I pulled off, she continued with saying over the speaker, “Good.” I have absolutely no idea why this employee was taking her frustrations out on me, or why she thinks its OK to treat people that she doesn't even know in such a manner. I said absolutely nothing to her besides ordering my food. I would seriously consider removing this employee from interacting with the public. She has a lot to learn about professionalism, and speaking with people in life in general. For identification purposes, it was a black woman. I did not get her name. She is terrible representation for...
Read moreWent here for lunch today.
A: it took me 20 minutes to get through the drive-thru.
B: The girl operating the screens didn't know how to pace things or transfer between both in a timely fashion. She also just either couldn't hear or wasn't paying attention. The way she asked between items was awful, "is that it?" Like wow. Ok. Glad you LOVE your job that much. When my total was done she told me and that was it, she didn't say a word when I came up to the window, she ran my card and handed it back. Not a single word.
C: Went to get my food. Another 5 minute wait. No one even acknowledged I was at the window until a weird bearded woman came up and was like, "two spicy chicken sandwiches?" I was like, "yeah." She handed the bag out the window. Then proceeded to hand me the sauces outside of the bag - super logical thought process there. So I checked the order. Looked back up, waiting to see if she was handing me my drink, and she goes, "what are you needing?" Like. Hey. You're the one with the screen with my order...you tell me. I was like, "my drink." She goes, "here," and shoves it at me out the window.
How much do these people make an hour? Is that why they feel ENTITLED to be so rude?! All the McD's except one are owned by the same family, which I guess means they have the same standards of behavior - every McDonald's in Gainesville is rude, EXCEPT one.
I was at this drive-thru for 30 minutes total. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. My French fries were half empty and clearly old and soggy to add...
