Patticakes in the Village — Restaurant in Gainesville

the actual coffee and treats served at this place are not worth the price in any capacity. the latte was watered down and the red velvet cupcake genuinely tasted like nothing. additionally, the fact that the latte and café con leche are separate menu items show that this place is a money grab. the only difference between the two is the fact that the cafe con leche already has sugar added and that they charge you 70 cents more for the same drink. the workers are extremely kind and the ambiance is wonderful, but the food itself if not up to par.

my response to the owner: your employees did in fact explain that the cafe con leche has caramelized sugar rather than plain sugar; that doesn't take away from the fact that the difference in price is pretty ridiculous. In many bakeries across Miami cafe con leches are typically around 2-3 dollars for a medium, and though i understand an increase in price due to this being a small business, $5.40 without tax is insanity. also, I am a frequent patron at multiple small business and am okay with paying higher prices for the sake of supporting local places. however, your food is simply not good and definitely not worth the price. the coffee at your establishment tastes watered down and old (even though I saw the employees pull a fresh shot) and your baked goods taste like absolutely nothing. its interesting how you decided to harp on the cafe con leche instead of actually respond to my complaint of how the food was simply bad. the cupcake didn't even taste sweet, it simply tasted like bread. I hope you spend your time improving the quality of your product rather than insulting an honest...

I lived near the village, and always came here for their fantastic cupcakes and frozen Chai. Patticakes is not like a Starbucks where there's many others with some blasting music. Patticakes is the best studying area you can find. I recommend buying a Patticakes cup if you're regular like me. It's like the Starbucks rewards' program; whereas you could get a refill cup of coffee for only a dollar. Except with this, there's not like a certain amount of "Stars" you need to be a member. I'm not sure if they do, but when I was there they had punch cards... or was that Lolicup....

Anyway, they have the best sandwiches, (high in nutrition) Best Coffee in Gainesville, (whether its espresso, lattes and cappuccinos. To be honest I really love their mochas), Tea, frozen drinks such as milkshakes (I love their Chai), smoothies or Ice cream. They even have breakfast items and lunch items that are just amazing! As for their cupcakes, it's amazing and mouthwatering! I love their black ties, Red velvets, Carrot cake, Oreos, and they have seasonal cupcakes as well. However, they are picked so fast. So hurry if you want any of their scrumptious cupcakes!

This place has the most friendliest employees in Gainesville. Once you walk into Patticakes you will this optimistic vibe. As I said if you study there, it's literally the best studying place for primary, secondary, higher education students, a place to hangout with friends or socializing. I always end up here whenever I'm at the farmer's market on Saturday mornings and I love it! I've also been to the Patticakes in the bo diddly plaza and I can't seem to choose which I like better!

While walking around the farmer's market in Haile Plantation, my friend and I decided to get some delicious muffins (blueberry banana, smores, etc) from Gourmet Muffin and needed coffee on the side. What better place to get coffee than Patticakes! So we walked about 3 minutes or so and passed by to get a drink.

Service was great! Staff were friendly and asked where we got our muffins ahaha. I got a iced latte and I think my friend got their iced london fog. We both got it iced because it was humid and terribly hot outside! We sat inside near the window and chilled. However, around 10am, it got pretty busy and crowded so we decided to leave. The interior of Patticakes is so cute as well and I believe it is a great place to sit down and study....
