The place has great breakfast! They always have the basic fajita, chorizo, and potatoe based tacos. But they also rotate between having carnita, barbacoa, and shredded chicken. So though their food is good....the item you want might not always be available. The place is not just a bakery tho! It's like a bakery a Taqueria and a gift shop all rolled into one. The place is a little outdated though and could definitely use some renovating. I have bought much more than just food at Rosita. I have done Christmas shopping there on multiple occasions. They have many figures and sets that are made in Mexico. I got a hand painted shot glass set, a hand made bird figure and many other impressive gift items. This place use to be so good. The flour tacos where delicious. The women that use to work there no longer do and since then it has fell off! I'm not knocking on another ethnicity but seems that the Salvadorian and Honduran women CANNOT make a decent tortilla if their life depended on it. The tortillas are 3 inches round and really thick. Like eating a papusa or gordita. That's for both the flour and corn. The meat dishes are really greasy. So much so some sauce spilled out the taco that it left a thick layer of dried grease in the plastic bag. The meats don't taste the same and the chile relleno was really oily and greasy as well. A couple of the ladies are rude to the customers because they can't understand the thick accent the workers there have. I have given then 3 opportunities and raxh time they fail worsenthan before. La Rosita is a charming little taqueria and bakery that’s perfect for anyone who loves authentic Mexican food. The handmade tortillas are a standout, and they offer a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. Even when I didn’t see my favorite, huevo con papa, on the menu, they were incredibly accommodating and made it for me. It was absolutely delicious!

One thing to note is that the salsa they serve isn’t picoso at all, so if you like a little heat, be sure to ask for a hotter version. The bakery section also has a nice selection of breads that pair well with coffee, although I was a bit disappointed they didn’t offer half-and-half—just the chemical-laden powdered creamer.
