I enjoyed everything about The Cracked Egg Cafe. I invite everyone to give this restaurant a try. The instant I walked in, I was transported to what I have always imagined what a small cafe must have been like in the 1950's small town U.S.A. Even though every employee was hustling, they all took the time to give me and my family a welcoming greeting. I noticed that when their regular customers left that the employees wished them a good day by the customers' first names. The whole atmosphere was comfortable, and I also have too describe it as, "cute". The employees are a mix of generations that work well together, everyone pulls their weight, and they do it all with a smile. The menu is just right, not too small and not too big. We all had breakfasts that consisted of eggs, pancakes, French Toast, home fries, bacon, pork roll, ham, sausage, toast, and English muffins. Everyone one of us enjoyed everything we ordered. I had the eggs which I ordered over easy, and although I enjoyed them throughly, I definitely had a little French Toast and Pancake envy. I'll be making as many return trips as I can, so I can try other items off the menu. Hats off to the owner and his staff. Keep dishing up the tasty vittles and continue doing it with the friendly service. Hope to see you again soon.

Love the place went with my husband and son this morning from a long drive from PA. Love the cozy atmosphere and love the place. Second time with my son on my short stay but I ordered today a chicken soup young lady was polite and took my order my son is a big fanatic of soups so he said he loved the chicken I also agree with him ordered a egg omelet with ham onions and tomatoes and light on cheese with home fries. It was delicious i noticed it had fresh tomatoes wish was new to me I hunt down new small locations like this in many states first time I see fresh cut tomatoes on eggs. Honestly have to say I’m impressed with the very small place. It’s worth the Waite Incase there isn’t no more space for this small neighborhood spot. Plus the utensils are clean I usually check everything some restaurants do no clean there spoons and naif every clean and I would have to order a cup of hot water and put my utensils in the cup. No I have to say twice and everything that was handed to me including the cups are clean. Bathroom clean as well. Love the place and will visit again soon

We are from Germany and were on a two weeks roundtrip through California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Sequoia national Forest was our last stage before heading back to SFO. We got the recommendation at Corral Creek Lodge were we stayed and went there for breakfast twice. This is why: The Cracked Egg Cafe looked purely "original" to us, not at all touristy. It has its very own character and that is what we almost enjoyed the most about it :-) It does not even try to be perfect in a mainstream way - it is just perfectly itself. Other than that the food is of really good quality (I had the oatmeal twice , my daughter pancakes which were really fluffy inside and slightly crispy outside and the Denver omelet at our 2nd visit, which was also great and was big enough to serve us (the rest of it) as a lunch pack for our hike that day. Comment on the picture: We had never seen these bug fans before :-) They didn't have a lot of work to do, but we liked them.

EDITED: After OWNER'S INACCURATE and ILL INFORMED response. Original review.- Rude!!!!! We sat inside for breakfast. When we received our glasses they were disgusting. So we asked for new glasses. We ate our food and chatted for about an hr. We paid, as we were getting ready to leave (collecting our belongings), the 'waitress' came over to us and told us to be quiet. Excuse me!!?? There were only 2 women in the restaurant (at the table next to us) that said out loud, 'that was rude to ask'. They suggested we write a review. We were not being loud at all. We had 2 children with us, but they were focused on their ipads (which had no sound on at the time). It's a small restaurant next to a sketchy motel that has residents of this motel coming in and out constantly to use the bathroom and other stuff. Not sure why they'd treat paying customers this way. Will not return.

Edited- Our 2 children are far from LOUD and ROWDY. Weird how you chose to attack children on your response (but it is 2024 we know how 'you do'). And not sure what conversation on the phone you're speaking of. Maybe you're confused. Also, there were 2 other customers in your tiny little place. Noone complained. We apologize to them and they said, 'we don't know what's she's talking about. She was rude'. So you're 'waitress' must not have properly relayed the information back to you.

AGIAN, VERY SKETCHY PLACE!!! I will be posting this EVERYWHERE after the OWNER'S ridiculous...

First time trying out the place and will never be back again. Food was great actually but the service was horrible. I never got our servers name but we got there at around 8:30am and there was only 2 other tables there but they had already been served and the server never once came back to check up on us, never offered us more coffee, never asked if we needed anything else. I had to call her over so I could get my check after we were already done eating as I noticed that she was behind the register on her phone. There were multiple times she was free to come by and check on us but she never once did. I would understand if they were busy and had other tables to tend to but if you have time to stand around on your phone but not check on us then that is just plain disrespectful. My mother wanted to go there for her birthday since she likes the food but when I was upset with the service she had told me that it had happened multiple times before with the same server. I advised my family to please not go back because they do not deserve to feel outcasted for I also noticed that we were the only customers of a different race and I don’t want to think it was because of that but that’s how I felt in the moment. Never once have I felt that way at a...
