Uncle Nolan's Diner — Restaurant in Galva

Normally when i go to Uncle Nolans it's great service and great food, but unfortunately last night i took my son and boyfriend up there and it was the worst service and food.. they were busy, short staffed and we sat at a dirty table for about 10 min till finally the server came over, then we order the special which was a Gyro with homemade chips and drink, a rueban with mushrooms and a kids mac n cheese with cole slaw, then about 30 35 min go by she brings out the Gryo first and there is no gryo sauce we ask for it and she tells us they dont have any... jesus come on the whole point of getting a Gryo is for the cucumber sauce so after waiting forever f9r r food they dont come out to tell us that theu r out of sauce, dont u think that they should of told us that when she put the order in,.. common sense.. then my boyfriend just told her that he didnt want it, apparently she thought he yelled at her but he didn't, so she NEVER came bk to r table had the dish girl finish up, then to top it off my son spilled his water all over the table, no one came over, so we got up, went to the register and there stood the server, cook amd dish girl i tell them about the water being spilled and the Gyro and the cook said i juts seen u spill the drink.. so if he seen my son spill water all over the table then why in the hell r.u all back there saying crap about us instead of taking care of your customers.... i used to love coming here and i will NEVER go back again after last night and i have been a server for 23 years and i have never had that experience, let alone the wait staff just completely ignoring u... very...

Being from Southern California, we do not have luxury of cozy diners such as Nolan's. I was going to take full advantage of this opportunity. I gazed through the menu written on the wall and settled for the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was fried to a perfect crisp and the batter was flavorfully delicious with a generous portion of thick decadent white gravy. Enough to wrap around each bite of steak. Based on the great reviews, we decided to try this diner. The country fried steak came out and was shaped like a perfect circle, had NO flavor and the eggs tasted like they were egg beaters. The hashbrowns with cheese…. I hate it when restaurants take the lazy way out and slap a slice of American cheese on top.
