This place made it to the middle for me, but it didn’t impress. I’ve been here twice and leave with the same feeling every time. The first thing to point out is how expensive it is. I bought 5 tacos and a burrito once and it was nearly $20. Now, $20 for a great meal is a very reasonable price, however this was not a great meal for that price. The burrito was bland, no to mention as flat as a plate. I had to eat it with a fork. No big deal, but i think it could have been stuffed more. The tacos were delicious, but again expensive for the price. And the elote was cold both times I got it. Second, they charge you a fee for using your debit card which isn’t too much of a problem, but it’s annoying. I understand if I were using a credit card, but I find charging a fee for a debit card unreasonable. I also get businesses pay a fee to process debit cards, but (1) that is a cost that comes with operating a business, (2) the high prices they charge for cheap food should already cover that, (3) having your customers to pay for your operational costs seems shady and greedy. Probably won’t return. Not because it isn’t good food, it is, but you can find exceptional Mexican foods at other trucks for a much better price. Try Tacos El Rey in Meridian, or Adelitas off Federal, for authentic, delicious, reasonably priced food.

We first had them at the fair & thought really good but not a lot for your buck! So we decided to hunt them down & try them at their truck. We pulled up on a drenching night but saw two other cars so decided to brave the wet & muck & try. Kinda was surprised at the restaurant prices but it was really good at the fair. So lady answers window & it becomes quite clear english isn't her language as many questions got no response or just a vague no... Which made it really hard as they were out of a lot! We had hoped to order the street corn that was so good but even though it said on the window it was the special she said "no corn!" & We couldn't find out when it would be back! The plate featured in my photo was $9 basically... & Once again we got the tiny taco! This isn't a taco it's a tapas! For $9 I was not wowed & honestly was disappointed! They set the bar High at the fair & this was almost like Los Betos! My search for amazing street tacos shall continue sadly & if I catch this crew at the fair I might snag some corn but I'll keep going if we drive by...

This use to be my go-to taco truck as it's close to my house but since they raised their prices it's not as desirable. Food hasn't changed though and it's still as awesome as it always has been. Update June 18th 2021 thought I'd give them another try and we got a burnt chicken quesadilla, gringa which is very scary in a very basic burrito and salsa for our tacos but they gave us four of them only a quarter full each. You know once a time this place Rocked, sorry guys but not so much anymore. With that said the place was packed with people standing in line for order so maybe they see something I don't. PS. The staff are very friendly

This is for the taco truck on Fairview Rd near orchard. We stopped by there for Lunch ordered our food, we have been to the basilios in Nampa and always been great service but this one completely ruined it for me and will never go again. The guy preping food also handling the window was rude after I return my taco for having a hair on it. It was as he got offended and wondering why I couldn’t just pull the hair off and eat my taco. He said he would make me another one so I waited. My wife started to eat what she ordered and we found another hair but it was small and kinda felt bad for the cook so didn’t mention it which I wish we did and get my money back and go else where knowing he wasn’t going to satisfy our order. After waiting 10 min he comes to the window and says what meat do you want? I said fish, the same taco I had ordered originally, he replied I don’t have fish I’ll just give you your money back. Are you kidding me? Food is way overpriced for one, the taste is good but not great unless your getting al pastor. I wish the guy could have handled it a bit different instead of the way he did. Maybe he really didn’t have fish but I seemed he was bothered and didn’t want to take the time to make another taco.

One other thing the guy that order after us when his food was ready he was on a phone call, the food truck guy yells for him a few times then starts pounding on the metal counter until the guy comes gets his food, why not just wait until he was off the phone and then call for him no one else was there waiting in line to order or for...

I've visited Basilios off and on over the past 10 years or something. I've had the food from different trucks that I would assume are part of the same Bailios team or business. The way the food is flavored, the way it tastes, seems to be consistent enough. Sometimes the food will vary in flavor when it is coming from food trucks and food trailers, but this places seems to have it very close. My favorite one was the one that would parks by WDS Global, and call center that I believe is under a different name if it is every still open. That one was the best I would say by my taste buds. But this one by Albersons on Lake Hazel is good enough, bean and cheese will always be my favorite. I always say that if the beans and cheese burritos are good, then the rest of the menu has hope, and they make them bean and cheese burritos perfect for me.

I only our four stars cause I wish it was a little more consistent and four stars on atmosphere cause how do you get a perfect atmosphere outside. If there was some nice music playing I would be down. Let it be what the cooks and crew like to listen to, just something even slightly playing in the background...
