The people who run the Human Bean are very out of touch with society and modern times in general. I used to frequent a location daily and all the employees were wonderful. They were so kind and nice and it really made my day to visit them... That is until one of my favorite Baristas told me that she was told that if she didn't die her hair back to brown, she would be fired. She didn't readily offer that information by the way, I just complimented her hair and she said she had to dye it back and I asked her why . It was orange, very very close to what's considered a natural hair color . How does hair color affect anyones ability to make coffee? Hair color and piercings are discriminated against on a regular basis and it's gross. Are people showered, clean presenting, wearing uniforms and doing their jobs? You have NO reason to try to control someone during their off hours and their life. If they are presentable, clean and do their job (and she did that Daily) - that's all that matters. It is disgusting and bad business to run your business and treat your employees like objects, they are people. You do not own them. The fact that you THINK you can control what color someones hair is for a coffee shop job is BONKERS.
I waited to post this review when she was no longer there so it wouldn't ruin her employment, but I have told everyone I know to use any other coffee shops... And they do.
Also, found this nice (horrible and out of touch) fact about Human Bean too in google "Average THE HUMAN BEAN Barista hourly pay in Idaho is approximately $7.48, which is 42% below the national average." you expect your employee to dye their hair for you while you pay them a wage that is IMPOSSIBLE to live by.

Read moreTonight was a first for me - I ordered a 32 oz Soy Snowy with Raspberry and Extra Raspberry, cold (not iced.) I've ordered this same drink from other Human Bean locations for years without problem - until tonight.
What I received was a 20 oz drink in a 32 oz cup, and I was told "I know it's a little underwhelming without ice. Are you sure you don't want a little ice?"
No... What I want is the fluid ounces that I paid for. I paid for a combined 32 oz of espresso, soy milk, and syrup. I got a cup filled only 2/3 of the way, and the barista acted like this was normal. I was flabbergasted. Every time I've ordered this in the past, they top the cup off with extra soy milk to make 32 oz.
If this is the new standard for a cold 32 oz beverage, then I'll never order more than a 20 oz again and save myself the...
Read moreThis is our local stand and we are definitely "regulars." Always a good experience and they are like family to us. They all signed a get well card when I was sick and in the hospital and got me a gift card. It was very sweet.
The only critical feedback I can offer is that sometimes the drive-thru lines can be inconsistent. One side of the drive-thru will be moving very fast while the other languishes, making wait times very long. I was late to a followup doctor's appointment once and had to reschedule because I chose the wrong line and wasn't able to leave it (there was no way to exit) without making it all the...
