Blueberry Hill Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Garden City

We visited this place at the request of a vendor that we met when we went to Kellers Flea Market. (BTW...Kellers is awesome also). We sat in the car contemplating going in. At first sight, it looked like an unsavory place. Then we thought (me and hubby) let's go in, if we dont like it when we walk in, we'll turn around and leave. Boy were we glad we went in. We had a really good time. The bartender was crazy, outgoing, funny but yet professional, we loved her. The drinks were great, definitely not watered down. We ordered nachos, burgers and fries. All were delicious, especially the burgers. Fries are homemade, not frozen. Plenty of room to mingle but not too big. Nice music. And the regular customers made us feel welcomed. We found our go-to bar, even though it will take us 30 minutes to get there. Someone mentioned in another review that this was a hidden gem. It definitely is! You gotta try it if your in the neighborhood...or not in the neighborhood 😉. Oh, you are allowed to smoke and that was okay by us. Just wanted to mention that as a heads up for you...

Bartenders at times here have not paid attention to who is suppose to be paying for what when it is asked and agreed to by both parties and they forget to write it down. When they don't they then expect whoever consumed the alcohol they are given to then pay when they are leaving instead of the person who said they would pay for it. Only certain ones do this that are still there currently. Also previously 2 bartenders who got fired used to over charge me constantly at the end of the night. No amount of discussing it would fix the issue and patrons got left with paying tabs they weren't consuming, but in turn the bartenders were actually consuming and charging to customers. I don't know if those 2 were finally found out and fired, but over the 6 months I started going there and finally quit as a result resulted in about a $300 theft. I've just decided to keep my going there to a minimum moving forward as a result. I stopped in there yesterday for a bite to eat. I ordered a jalapeno burger with their home cut fries. The owner ended up cooking my food. Let me tell you that was the best darn Burger and home cut fries that I've ever had outside of my home. I was so impressed it was so good it made you want to slap your mama, so good . The fries were hand-cut and so thick it was just amazing. The burger hands down the best I've ever had at any restaurant ever ever ever. The bartender Lisa was very friendly and funny I really enjoyed my time there. Im definitely going to make this my regular hamburger joint after work.
