Dragon Express — Restaurant in Garden City

This place might not look like much on the outside but what you get on the inside is a whole different story!!!! I may have been there early so there wasn't very many people but the portions were amazing and the people were beyond amazing!

I was actually a little bit short on cash and these people were kind enough to give me a discount so I could afford it.

That said I did have enough I just was paying with change due to the fact that the bank wants 10% of it if it's not rolled that said there was a very nice guy who was behind me in line and offered to pay for all of my food not just the $1.76 that I owed at the time. They went ahead and covered that and the guy behind me if he reads this I really appreciate what you were trying to do and if you can pass it on to the next person because I wasn't able to at the time!

Much love and appreciation for both the restaurant and the guy offering to help me when I didn't even want it. Yes it has nothing to do with the restaurant but the restaurant did discount me trying to help somebody else versus putting me down like so many others do!

Tonight, Jan. 7th, 2021, my boyfriend and I ordered takeout at Dragon Express in yor town of Garden City. This is our fist time to order food out of this "so called" Chinese restaurant! First of all, we ordered 2 low mein and they gave us 3. Second, now we see why they told us itwould be done in 3-5 minutes, the noodles were so overdone that they mushed all together. Our meals had very little vegetables and frankly, aren't vegetables a staple in real Chinese meals? We also ordered 3 eggrolls. Aren't eggrolls supposed to be crunchy on the outside? Ours were too soggy! I asked for a small fried rice, that rice was "tasteless"and they don't even put eggs in it! I'm not Chinese, but really? Please go talk to your ancestors and have them teach you how to make real Chinese food! I have eaten Chinese food since I was young and absolutely LOVED it! Please learn...

The food here is very very tasty. I have specific dietary needs ( I am doing the keto diet, so I don’t eat carbs like rice or noodles ) and they are very willing to make the food away request. It is not battled sauces, they make your own using traditional Asian condiments, so it is not filled with sugar. I like mine extra spicy with extra vegetables, and there is always plenty of meat to go with it even at that.
