Poke Doo — Restaurant in Garden City

This place is an amazing poke bowl restaurant. My wife and kids love it, I love it, everyone at my work loves it, seriously top notch.

The portions are totally fair. The regular size poke is a rather large bowl for like 11 dollars. That's two different proteins (I get salmon and tuna) with all the veggies you want for 11 bucks. Like, I just spent 9 dollars at damn Taco Bell for lunch a few days ago.

The service is awesome. The owner works the counter and you can tell he's excited and passionate about the craft. The ingredients aren't just slapped in there, they're arranged. He makes recommendations on toppings and sauces if you're not a poke pro and he's never steered me wrong before.

The food is delicious and quality. The veggies are always fresh and crisp, the meat always has that pure, fresh quality that good sashimi should have. There's a ton of toppings and sauce options and it's all build-your-own without too many ingredients costing extra.

Really, give this place a shot. It's unreal how this place makes eating healthy that delicious.

I do have a recommendation for the store, however. I'd suggest asking customers if they want a lid. I know I'll be finishing my bowl each time I visit, and most of my coworkers do, too. It seems like a pity to waste the plastic...

Ordered DoorDash with these guys and it was honestly so good! I got a large poke bowl with 2x’s ahi and marinaded ahi (3 proteins total), both of which were delicious. I’m definitely adding spicy mayo with it next time. Usually I can finish a large from places but they load these bowls up so I have leftovers for later. There’s so many things you can add to them to create a variety of flavor combos whether you’re looking for sweet or savory. The boba tea I ordered was also the perfect amount of sweetness and there are so many flavors to pick from. I got lychee popping pearls with mango flavor in the lavender black tea. Can’t wait to try more stuff...

I was happy to find out a poke bowl and bubble tea shop had opened up so close. My wife and I split a large poke bowl and each got an adorably packaged bubble tea. We got the green matcha latte and strawberry milk tea with fruit popping bubbles. Our poke bowl was packed full of all the fruit, vegetables, and fish we specified when ordering online. All topped with spicy mayo, eel sauce, and tempura flakes.

Splitting a large bowl was plenty of food for lunch for two people. We definitely got a nice portion for the cost. Looking forward to coming back to try again...
