I really thought this place was going to be an authentic Chinese restaurant. The real deal. I was wrong. The staff were nice and I don't have any complaints. But the food was trash. The wife and I both got the Lo Mein. It was trash. Straight up spaghetti garbage. The noodles were straight from the box pasta noodles. Not the traditional noodles I'm used to. The flavoring was not what I've had before. Heavy on the garlic. It's like they were replicating an Italian dish. My wife's shrimp Lo Mein had a moldy taste. Everything tasted off. The color of my lo Mein and the beef in it was milky. Everything had a pale , milky look to it. I couldn't finish it. I would not come back. Parking was a limited. Weird parking lot. Definitely try the back lot. I didn't enjoy the TV basically advertising the entire time for online gaming. It was obnoxious. I would have ignored it but the fortune cookies were also just an advertisement. The one side said that I would be lucky this month while the backside has a QR code with a link to an online gambling website. Very distasteful and disheartening to those with gambling addictions.

Read moreWe have been coming to New Peking since my man was a child. He is 41 now. There has never been an instance of bad food or service. In fact this is one of our absolute favorite places to dine in or out. The interior is beautiful and the staff is kind, attentive and accommodating. The food is always amazing and in good size portions. My son and I personally love the Peking Beef and my man loves the Red Pepper Shrimp but we like to try other entrees too. He had the Hunan 2 Style tonight(8/7/22). The beef in both dishes was so succulent and tender. Sauces were flavorful and rich. We ordered take out for my son and his was also delicious. He is currently nursing an overeating tummy ache. Only complaint would be that they used to bring you a small tea pot of hot tea to steep at the table with small tea cup when you ordered tea. They now just bring a coffee cup of already brewed hot tea. Seriously dissatisfied with the loss of the teapot. Other than that every thing was perfect. Food hot and fresh and brought...
Read moreLet me start with saying, I am 100% someone who understands that if I'm going to go to a restaurant on Christmas Day, there's definitely going to be a wait and my family and I are happy to be patient.
However. Today we stood in line for 1 hour (3rd in line), repeatedly listened to the woman at the desk yell at people on the phone that there is a 2-4 hour wait while there were 5+ empty tables at any given time (it didn't appear they would need that time for sure) and we watched the restaurant completely turn over. They sat 1 table of 4 ONLY. We decided to leave when she yelled out loud that she "did not care about dine in customers, only carry outs because that's how she made money". She was nearly at a scream level.
The reason we tried to wait is because we have been here annually on Christmas for 10 years. We will never be returning after listening to her say she doesnt care about her customers. Go a mile west on Ford and try Great China Garden. They are friendly and care about...
