BenGong's Tea Garden Grove CA — Restaurant in Garden Grove

I recently visited Bengong's Tea in Garden Grove, and while there were some good aspects, there are definitely areas that could use improvement.

The store has about 18 seats inside and 6 seats outside, making it a small, cozy spot. Despite the store not being crowded, we had to wait over 10 minutes for our drinks. As for the drinks, they were decent and reasonably priced. However, my cousin was disappointed with his Peach Oolong Milk Tea. He had expected it to look like the photo on the menu, complete with a cream topping, but it was missing. The cashier didn’t ask if he wanted the cream, so that was a bit of a letdown.

Overall, while the drinks are affordable, Bengong's Tea could improve on service, particularly when it comes to order accuracy and wait times. With a bit more attention to detail, it could provide a much better...

Maybe this place is a franchise, but it felt completely different from the location I usually go to in Irvine. There was only one male staff working, and even though I came in last minute, it was still within their open hours. He basically rushed to hand me the drink just so he could turn off the lights and leave—it felt like I was bothering him for being there. As for the quality, it was exactly what you’d expect when the staff doesn’t care—definitely not a good cup of milk tea. Never...

The quality here is good. I’ve come to this location like five times, and I’ve been to Ben Gong at other spots too — probably over 10 times total. This location has never messed up my drink, so they’re doing pretty well. But every time I come here, I wonder if I’ll ever see them smile. They always seem focused on just making the drinks, not really on connecting with customers. Not a deal-breaker for me. Will I keep coming back? Yes. But it’s definitely missing that...
