Mochi Dough Review:

Top Flavors: • Strawberry – 9/10 Tastes just like Pocky—sweet, nostalgic, and a definite favorite for all. • Oreo – L: 9, J: 8 Chocolatey with a nice crunch, well-balanced. • Matcha – L: 10, J: 8.5, M: 8.5 Rich, earthy matcha flavor that’s not too bitter. Solid pick if you love green tea.

Other Notes: • Ube Taro – L: 9, J: 8.5 Great flavor, but texture took a hit for being more crispy than chewy. Texture: 7.5 • Mango – L: 8, J: 7, M: 5 Lacked sweetness, topping felt stale and flavorless. • Glaze – M: 5, J: 8, L: 8.5 Simple and sweet, but taste varied. • Brown Sugar – Overly sweet. Too much brown sugar on top and didn’t complement the mochi.

Drink Review: • Cookie & Cream Brown Sugar Milk Tea – 9.5 Delicious but could’ve used more Oreo. Boba: 8/10. • Brown Sugar Milk Tea – 7.5 Sweet, but almost too much. Boba was average. • Cookie Butter Latte Smoothie (with almond milk) – Not super sweet, which M liked. Boba was a little hard. Almond milk upcharge was $0.90, which felt high.

Vibe & Atmosphere: • Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy. • Aesthetic: Super cute and Instagrammable. Bright, modern, and well-decorated. • Overall Atmosphere: Cozy and inviting.

Final Thoughts:

While the experience was fun and the spot is a vibe, the mochi dough was hit or miss. Drinks were decent, and the overall atmosphere is what really shines.

Would probably only return for the strawberry mochi donut and to take pictures.

Cute + Tasty + Instagrammable Japanese Donuts 🍩

This little shop is in the same plaza as BCD Tofu House. It’s a small chain that specializes in Japanese mochi donuts and milk tea/coffee drinks.

The donuts are really good, and the pink gift box packaging is super pretty, perfect for gifting! The inside is also cute, with a full wall of fake flowers and grass, plus a pink carousel 🎠 that makes it great for photos.

The staff were really friendly too and they even asked if we wanted some water and offered to help take our pictures. Restaurant is clean, too. Big bonus points!

Saw the plushie surprise cup on tiktok and decided why not give it a try, boba and plushies? How cool. The establishment has a self order kiosk or you can order with the workers, whichever you prefer . The decor is amazing, only downside are the seats, kind of small but it’s not a vibe killer. The plushies were cute and the drinks were okay. The donuts were elegant and the best mochi donuts I’ve had so far. Worth a stop by just for the vibe and atmosphere.
