I have eating at BCD for years, and I always order C8. Covina Fish Combo with original soup beef medium forever.
Today, like my regular day off, we came and eat, order our regular: (1) C8 number combo ( I pointed at the menu first, if the restaurant owner or manager see this comment, you can check the camera, and see my first action when Mrs. Yeon (her name tag: lady with blonde hair) took my order))
(2) We always orders (2) more small fish + (2) rice of pots, and yes she gave us only one rice of pot, later we have to order her again. We then feel weird about the order.
Later, we thought she ordered everything right when she just walked away without asking my another friend what he wants, or CONFIRMING our orders?
The tofu soup pot was big than usual, so we knew there is something wrong. We even looked at the table of the (2) girls next to us and questioned why our soup pot is bigger than usual when we order combo C.8??? so we decided to ask her again “Will the fish coming? with combo C8 we told you?”
She denied and said: “you never say any fishs, so I thought small fish??” I was like:” did you ask us or confirming our orders? Yes, we ordered C.8 combo + extra (1) small fish side + (2) rice pot. You can check the camera.”
She continued to deny and blaming us for order wrong, and yes I told her check the camera she then walked away said it her fault. Without make up our order but made us have to order another C.8 for real this time?? We were like finished up all the soup already, why we have to wait for another order and in conclusion we pay (1) extra combo?
First time ordering, but the server was so unfriendly and rude, never confirming our order and blaming us.
p/s: Our orders with BCD everytimes we come always above $35, not around $20 something. And we know what to order.
BUT the food is delicious like always, I will still give the chef +4 starts despite the RUDE SERVICE...

When we asked to be seated, the hostess told us to wait and she immediately started talking to the group behind us in Korean and was trying to get that group situated before us. We got seated and ordered our meal. About 5 minutes later, a party (a Korean family) sat next us. They ordered shortly after as well. When the food came out, the family got all their starters before we did. We (a party of 4) got our soups and entrees in bits and pieces. But the Korean family next to us got all of their soups and entrees all together? Then we ended up having to wait for rice. We had to share 2 bowls of rice for a party of 4. The waitress told us to share for now and they will bring more when it's ready. 5 minutes later, a cart full of rice bowls came and dropped off all the rice to the Korean family next to us. They completely skipped us and went off in the opposite direction. So we had to flag down another worker to get our rice. The meal was suppose to come with a small fried fish but we never got it. And guess what? I looked over at the Korean family next to us and they all got their fish. We flagged down a worker and he said that our fish wasn't ready yet. We just finished what we had, paid and left. What's funny is that we are also asian, but just not Korean. And it was obvious to them that we weren't Korean when the waitress spoke to us in Korean and we responded back in English. Completely unacceptable service. My final remark on this place is that if you are Korean, then definitely go try it out since you'll get top-notch service. But of you aren't, don't waste your...
Read moreNo matter how many times I visit, the flavors at BCD Tofu House never disappoint. This long-standing Korean chain is known for its signature soft tofu stews, one of my comfort food dishes.
The banchan (side dishes) are generous as always, refillable and flavorful, with the exception of the yellow croaker, which comes with an extra charge if you want more. Always feel free to ask for more kimchi or seasoned bean sprouts!
We ordered the C3 Combo – Spicy Pork Bulgogi + Soft Tofu Soup for $22.99 (lunch) . The pork was well-marinated with just the right level of heat, and the tofu soup was bubbling hot and rich in flavor.
We also shared the A4 Seafood Pancake $16.99, which was golden brown and crispy on the outside while staying soft and chewy inside. Packed with seafood and green onions, it was one of the best versions I’ve had in a while.
What’s even more convenient is that BCD’s tofu stew kits and fresh tofu products are widely available in many Asian supermarkets. Making an authentic Korean hot soup at home has never been easier!
