Donut Plaza — Restaurant in Garland

very disappointing experience at this donut place. I went in to buy some donut holes for my 2 year olds 2nd birthday today, only to be rudely scolded by the staff when I asked to purchase 6 dozen donut holes When I asked if I could buy the rest, I was yelled at and told was told I could only purchase 3 dozen donut holes because they didn’t make enough in the morning, it was only 8:30am & other people are coming to buy them. &I didn’t have to get them if I wasn’t happy with the limit. I really wasn’t understanding why a PAYING customer would be denied to purchase the donuts because they wanted to make them stretch to other customers but the chocolate donut holes & the sprinkled chocolate were gone so help me understand why I was denied?!?!?

I have always come here because their donuts are usually fresh and delicious, but being denied access to them because they didn’t make enough & had them reserved for other customers is unacceptable. This experience has really put me off from coming here again.!!

Do not recommend !!! I always kind of overlooked how rude they were to people when I go in there but this was it!!

This is just a swell spot and the ladies that own it remind me of my sweet grandmothers. The drive-thru is surprisingly efficient!

Edit: I'm not sure what happened to them in their lives, but these old ladies are now at the 'forget it' point when it comes to service. So much so that I ended up looking for and finding a MUCH better donut shop nearby even though it's a bit further (Cajun Donuts - where a very sweet woman runs this shop and honestly the donuts are sooo much better!). Unfortunately, it looks like this place is past its prime with no one else to run it but angry old women who must be working so hard on these donuts that selling them is too much of an extra chore....

Came in with DoorDash order and showed them receipt but they claimed to say it wasn’t in their system and started putting the blame on me (I ordered it for ahead of time, early in the morning the next day), saying that I ordered it when they were close, I then asked “how come it let me order and the money went through?” They then tried to play dumb and said they didn’t know so I had to cancel the order and wasted my coupon I had for the food.
