First time in today, I wanted some kind of homemade tacos with cooked onions and peppers, and remembered this place from Next Door a while back, so I drove there hoping it was still open and it was! I ordered the fajita combo meal, came with a mix of both beef and chicken fajitas, corn or flour tortillas, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, corn chips and hot sauce. It was $27.99 for it all. I also got some homemade flour tortillas, Mexican bread, a slice of chocolate tres leches cake, and a watermelon drink. As I got home, and was about to serve, there were no tortillas, they forgot to put them in the bag, I had ordered the corn because the juices make the flour tortillas too doughy. I called and talked to Jose (I believe he was the owner) and told him I was going back, which was 107 degrees outside, I was kind of upset about heading back out. When I got there, they remade the whole order. I had taken the meats back to get fresh hot meat, and they had it all ready. I had taken my son to see if he wanted to try anything, because he loves barbacoa burritos from Latino’s Bakery off of Jupiter, and ordered one from here. Jose gave it to us, no charge. I will go back, everything we got was really good, the only thing I probably won’t get is the tres leche cakes, as it was dry and didn’t have that chocolate taste I was craving. This place made up for their mistake, and for that, we will frequent it and try everything on the menu, a week at a time. Menudo is next for my family on the weekend.

After Sunday service, our family looks for a place to enjoy breaking bread with an authentic Mexican flavor in North Texas. Recently another Mexican restaurant came into operation and it's very good with a true Mexican flavor. First, the restaurant is small and parking is an issue. As you enter, stay to the right entrance door to eat. The left will take you to where they bake tortillas and pan. The restrooms are located in the back by the kitchen. You are given a paper menu and you order at the counter where you'll pay for your meal. The menu is not vast yet it includes many Mexican items not found regularly in North Texas like liquados, fruit salads and sweet bread. On the day we went, I had menudo, Aaron had French toast, Mathew had tacos and mom had omelet while Cashew had fruit and bread. The dinning room is small and it is hard to fit big parties yet the food is spot on. The menudo did not have the corn but the soup part was flavourful. The portion of the tacos and the omelet was good. We had some mess ups with the order but the servers made up for it. The price with tip was close to $50 and very good. This is the 2nd best Mexican restaurant in the North Dallas area. If you want to know #1, check out my recent review.

We found this place on accident but it seemed like it could be good form the pictures we saw. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience there. Parking at first looked like it might be difficult but there were still a few spots right up front. The parking area didn't have any issues like cracks or anything. At first it was a little confusing since there is also a little store on the left but we were greeted fairly quickly and led to a booth. I think next time I'd prefer a table but it was fine. The place was well kept up and clean. I didn't use the restroom though so I can't tell about that. The menu wasn't to big so we were able to decide what to eat fairly quickly. In the end we should have split one meal since the portions were so generous. Although we spent more, you can easily eat there for under $10 a person if you split something. Also there is a range of prices on the menu. Everything there was tasty from the chips and salsa (and black bean dip) to the entrees. The staff made sure we were taken care of and were on top of refilling our drinks. Speaking of drinks they do have alcohol for sale as well. So, although it says cafe on the sign ,there is more than meets the eye. I'm not sure if he was the chef or owner but one gentleman kept coming by to make sure our food was good.

Overall a nice meal at a cozy restaurant. Would...

The menu features a wide variety of options, ensuring there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or something light and healthy.

Highly recommended dishes include the flavorful tortilla soup, the perfectly seasoned taco al pastor, and the healthy plate of veggies with fried eggs, which is both nutritious and satisfying. Every dish is made with care, and the flavors shine through.

Be sure to save room for dessert! Their Chocolate Tres Leches is absolutely delicious—a rich, moist cake soaked in three kinds of milk with a deep chocolate flavor that makes every bite indulgent. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness and texture, making it a must-try for any chocolate lover.
