Dave's Burgers — Restaurant in Garrett

Today was first visit at Dave’s Burgers. I went when they opened at 10:30am, I was the very first customer. Honestly it will be my last my visit. The restaurant is just filthy. Windows have hand prints all over them. Window sills have food on them. The seats have food, and garbage in the crevices. The floors under the tables are very dirty. The napkin dispenser on my table has dried food on it. Walking to my table, I noticed that the bench seats were just filthy. The floor is greasy. This restaurant needs a DEEP cleaning.

The mustard packets on the condiment stand are VERY old. Opening the package, it came out as a paste. See the attached image. I had to ask for mustard from the cook.

Let’s talk about the cashier who took my order, her shirt. Absolutely disgusting. She had caked on food stuck to her teal shirt, looked like a weeks work. Restaurant I rate 0/5.

My food. It looked absolutely amazing, it was hot and fresh, delivered to my table. The onion rings could use a pinch of salt. There wasn’t any salt in the restaurant anywhere to be found. On the table, or at the condiment station. Otherwise, they were really good. The burger on the other hand, needs to be seasoned. It was very bland. Add seasoning, this will be a good burger. I was very surprised by this one, they charge for WATER. Really?! Who does this? Food...

Great food, hot and served fast! The employees at the counter or drive up window are always friendly! If you’re looking for fine dining atmosphere, this is not it! It’s a locally owned burger/ice cream place that is the best you’ll find anywhere! You will not leave this place feeling hungry, or ripped off by “Shrinkflation” (Small portions, overly priced). Today, I ordered a breaded tenderloin and a small fry, with a 16 ounce drink. The tenderloin was delicious, and -even though it was supposed to be a small fry, I don’t think they could’ve fit one more french fry in the basket! I could not eat all of them!! -Oh, and the fries are the big crinkle-cut kind, which are by far my favorite! I believe this restaurant used to be a Dairy Queen years ago, but Dave’s is making the very best of it, and keeping the place nice! If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on the opportunity to eat at this great mom and pop restaurant! Heck, even if you’re not from the area, take a “Sunday drive” - any day of the week, and make sure you pass through Garrett around lunchtime or dinner! You won’t be...

We pulled up to the drive-thru to discover that it was not operational so they sent a worker out to take our order. (Totally fine by me but seems kind of unsafe for the staff.) I ordered for kids meals and a meal for myself. the kids got a drink french fries and a grilled cheese sandwich. However the grilled cheese sandwich seems to only be half of a grilled cheese sandwich and we were not expecting such a small portion. The french fries were definitely adequate for the kids. It's enough food for my 1 and 4 year old but not my slightly older kids. there were no condiments suggested or provided for the french fries and fried pickles that I ordered. I don't think I've ever received fried pickles without some sort of special sauce. 🤷 the lettuce and onions on my burger were kind of slimy and the flavor was a little bit off.
