Typical Chinese cuisine, but it's made to order in a very quick fashion. This place seems popular for takeout, but I prefer my dishes hot straight from the kitchen and made to order is always better than buffet.
I ordered the dragon phoenix I believe, it's a combination of shrimp/veggies in lobster (garlic) sauce and a generous serving of general chicken with white rice. General chicken was really good, actually reminded me of the kind you'd find in the 90's with a crunchy coating. The shrimp was so good I wished I'd ordered a full plate of that. I was really surprised how good the combination worked. I also ordered rangoons and around $6.50 for ten of them it's a good value. These are standard rangoons, nothing to get excited over, but when they're hot & fresh they're way better than other places.
Atmosphere is hit and miss. Negatives were paper plates and plastic silverware, but they offered metal sets as well. That's not enough to hurt them, but it's an older building that was probably a bar or catfish house at some point. It's rustic with a very open floor plan. It's comfortable, clean, and they offer children's story books and any place that promoted reading for kids deserves a 5 star.
Is it the best Chinese food? No, but it's the comfort food you love and remember. Enjoy it hot and fresh to have a better experience than a typical buffet or takeout from places in diberville where your food steams in the bag losing its crunch before you can...
Read moreYangs is such a pleasant atmosphere here in small town Vancleave, Mississippi. The prices are very competitive with surrounding restaurants and the orders are timely if you're in a hurry. The portions are also relative to the amount of money spent. I typically spend around 10-12$ with a drink for lunch or around 45-50$ to feed my family of 4/5 people (depends if my little brother eats with us).
I am from NY and good Chinese style cuisine is hard to find, as I'm picky. Yangs is so delicious and most definitely could compete with surrounding Asian cuisine.
I've ordered the chicken wings, won ton soup, chicken on a stick, general chicken, sesame chicken, seafood delight, french fries, green beans, fried and white rice, and different teas. All were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Dining options include eat in or carry out. I haven't tried delivery, I don't know if they deliver? The hours listed were pretty accurate except one time they stayed open later because they were busy which was nice because it was late and we were hungry. The staff is always pleasant and professional. The tables and floors are clean. There is not a buffet if you're looking for that.
Yangs Kitchen is sure to please you should you decide to stop by and...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! Small family run restaurant. I never leave reviews but I had to for this Chinese restaurant. The small staff are so welcoming and friendly. And no kidding...this is the best Chinese food i've had. The food comes quick and the prices are so reasonable. The General Tao's Chicken is incredible. I also highly recommend the Coconut shrimp & the Black Pepper Chicken which you can order with either bell peppers or jalapeño peppers (my tavorite). I happen to see inside the kitchen when the door was open and noticed how clean the kitchen was and asked the owners if I could take a picture to post on this review and they said yes. Knowing the kitchen is clean always gives me...
