We went tonight and both had the weekend special, a local bison tenderloin with Michigan morel glacé and truffle mashed potatoes. It was perhaps the best meal I have eaten this year. The different flavors of this dish blending together was a true culinary experience, the bison tenderloin was the star. It was thick and delicious, easily sliced with a butter knife. Their desert special was a Ginger Cake with an apple Carmel sauce and glaze. It was good my wife ordered another one for takeout, so she could have it the next day.

The presentation was great but the food was just ok. We had fries at the table that were awful and when we let the wait staff know they apologized but didn't offer to take them off the bill which was a little disappointing considering they charged $2.50 to add cheese to your burger. The wait staff was incredible and the service was great but probably won't be back.

Not a bad place. It'll give you a old school feel to dinner. It's has good bar food with an amazing view. The view would be the only reason I would go back. Our server did an amazing job too. Wasnt to busy so she had a lot of time to work with us. Definitely come back here in the fall when the colors are 100% out.

I recently traveled to visit family (I was born and raised here and had yet to experience this restaurant)

I called ahead the lady did not take my name only my number and could not give us an estimated time. She only replied that she would give us a “call” and that we were on a “waiting list” after time had gone by we all decided to walk in. The hostess had no idea about a “waiting list” and could not even provide us with an estimated time that we would wait. Mind you there is an abundance of seating available, we asked the hostess to sit at the bar while we wait. We thought a drink would be nice b4 we embarked on the dining experience. We all waited there for a 10 minutes with no service even to receive a drink. The bartender still had dirty glasses and silverware in each seat that was open at the bar. It was dirty and terrible service. We decided to leave and I would NEVER come back to this...

I’m not really a person who likes leaving reviews that I don’t feel are 5 stars but this left an impression. I’m visiting from out of state. Visually very appealing and a gorgeous place. Went on a Friday evening. Showed up with a party of 4. Walked in. Even though there was a decent amount of seating available the hostess had no idea how long it would be to get seated. She left to speak with someone else and came back, told us approximately 20 minutes which ok no big deal even though there was ample seating. We asked to sit at the bar while we waited. There’s only maybe 4-6 people at the bar. The hostess tells us that’s fine. As soon as we sit down the bartender glares at us. Walks away, goes to the hostess to ask about our group. It’s unknown what was said as they stared in our direction. Then the bartender just walked off. After which our group just felt our business was not wanted...

It was my first time here (with a group of 4) and it left me with a pretty bad impression. Seating was quick, but our waitress came over and seemed agitated. She didn't smile, she made a nasty remark to us when we asked which food items we could order that would come out the quickest (i.e. easiest for the chef to make), then when the food came out, the pork tacos were super dry and tough. The waitress was very slow coming back to the table even though we were the only ones there. She never filled our drinks or asked if we wanted refills, and when it was time to pay, we found out there is an extra charge for using your card that was not disclosed anywhere. Based on this experience, I will not eat here again. Highly disappointed for the low quality of food and...
