My companion and I eat at Cherokee Restaurant every week, and leave with a pie each. BUT TONIGHT........EVERYTHING was disappointing!!!!! I ordered a Cherokee burger with onions, and onion rings. My companion ordered the same, but added pepper jack cheese. We both ordered sodas. When the meal came out, I had no onions, and the onion rings were not even cooked thoroughly. He cut one, and the onion was hard, the crust was doughy. I told the waitress, I didn't receive the onion for my burger, and we sent the onion rings back, because they were improperly cooked. Her response was, "we have a new cook." Well, as a former waitress, you DO NOT take out any food, until the order is complete, and thoroughly cooked. Presentation is everything! We finished our burgers and the onion rings, still did not come out, by the time we finished. Also, not ONCE, did the waitress check on us , or ask if we would like a substitute for the onion rings. We sat at a table right near the cash register, and 3 of the girls, including our waitress, STOOD around, giggling and "tickling" and "tripping" one another. When we finished our burgers, we went to the register to pay. NO TICKET, NO ONION RINGS! We explained to the girl at the register what had happened and STILL we were charged $35.00. FOR 2 BURGERS AND 2 DRINKS, WITH NO REFILLS AND NO ONION RINGS!!! Tonight is the 1st time we received bad service, and we are extremely upset, NOT TO MENTION.....STILL HUNGRY! I feel we should not have had to pay for a full meal when WE DID NOT receive a full meal! And $.99 for a slice of pepper jack cheese????!!! The "little girls" who was working, did not know how to properly do their job. And NO, WE were not rude. We worked hard all day, and we were hungry! And since we were upset, we didn't even buy a slice of our favorite pie!!!! We spend alot of money in there, because the food and service are excellent, but...
Read moreKOA told me the restwas open until 8 and since I had been driving all, I was really hungry and since I was pulling my trailer, needed to eat. I came to the door where there was a sign they were closing at 7 but the door was open so I came in and sat down as there were other customers. The young man told me to sit and gave me a menu. Two girls came out just livid and tried to kick me out. I said there are other people eating and I have no where else to eat. I had been driving all day. One customer was willing to invite me over to share her food which I couldn't do. The same young man said go ahead, I will make whatever you want. The girls proceeded to go back into the kitchen and used the f word and loudly expressed their anger for quite awhile. Finally the young man came and asked what I would like to eat and drink. One girl finally came out and brought my food etc but was really surly. When I asked fir a box and to go cut of a different young man who had strangely come over to my table he went yelling into the kitchen calling me names and using profanity again. At this point I had asked fir the other young man to give him a tip personally because he was the only kind, professional employe r they had. He was appreciative and thanked me. When I finally got my bill, I went up to pay it and the other boy came out yelling again and swearing saying he "low key quit" The poor gal ringing me up was a mess. She said she and the other waitress were only 17 and it had been a really long difficult day. It was absorbed craziest experience I had ever had in a restaurant. Super Unprofessional . I kept asking for the manager but was told twice they were not at liberty to give me any...
Read moreI love my wife dearly; however, she can make decisions based on billboards that are bad for both of us! I will grant you that out in the middle of Oklahoma on I 40 there arenât a lot of places to eat. In this case we shouldâve driven the 37 miles required to get to the subway that was a little further west,
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. She had a chef salad. The grilled chicken sandwich was next to inedible the onion rings that came with it couldnât have been in the fryer very long because the onions were still raw and the breading was barely brown. My wifeâs salad was indescribable.
We looked at the reviews before we stopped so we were not prepared for what we found. The people who gave it five stars might, have had too many adult beverages. We chatted with a couple of people on the way out and their experiences were similar to ours. If youâre hungry, the food is edible and it does get a grudging three stars but that is in large part due to our server, she...
