Zen's Sushi Express — Restaurant in Geneva Township

For a strip mall location located in what clearly used to be a Subway, you're going to be blown away by how good this sushi is. I had the unagi special (10 piece roll and four pieces nigiri) and it stands up to the unagi I've eaten at far more expensive and posh sushi restaurants. It was delicious and beautiful.

I was greeted as I walked in by the chefs, who quickly and completely answered my questions. I watched my other being made and was eating within five minutes of ordering. They have all the usual sushi accoutrements available. The restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly.

My one and only request would be for wasabi/horseradish served on your plate, and not from a packet.

Fresh market in Geneva used to have an amazing sushi chef that was personable ,awesome, and catered to whatever you wanted for sushi and would make it on the spot if he had what was needed for it..then I noticed he and his wife were gone one day a few years ago…well..I found them again when I walked into Zen Sushi express!!! Gerald and I first visit was on May 25, 2024, ever since then we come back if we ever have that craving of sushi.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Very humble and hardworking people who strive for great food and customer service. They want to make sure you leave with a smile on your face.
