Very disappointed. My mother and I were so excited to eat here. Many years ago, this was the only Mexican restaurant in the area, and my family and I would frequent the restaurant. When we walked in, my Mom asked if the restaurant was under the same ownership as years before. The waitress said yes, and of course my Mom was excited to share our history with the restaurant. The waitress seemed uninterested in having any conversation. I thought, "Ok, no big deal. Maybe she's just not much of a talker." After ordering food, my mom had asked for another salsa so she could use it for her food when it came out. The waitress told her no and that only one salsa per table is allowed. We thought this was a bit ridiculous, as most restaurants nowadays give a separate bowl for each person at the table (thanks to COVID). However, the waitress offered to fill the salsa cup (which was very small) as needed, so we went along with it. At the end of our meal, we packaged up leftovers and asked for a cup to take the remaining salsa home. Mind you, this is the same salsa we've been eating out of and double dipping our chips in. The waitress seemed quite reluctant when she said she'd bring us a cup. Upon returning to our table, she said, "Just so you know, we don't typically do this." Basically, the waitress said they don't give cups out for customers to take home salsa THAT'S ALREADY BEEN SERVED TO THEM! The food was good, so I gave an extra star for that, but I will not return to dine here. I would have been happy to pay for extra salsa, which I later found to be an option on the menu, but the waitress didn't even give us the option at the time and seemed stingy over salsa; one of the major items people go to a Mexican...
Read moreI've been wanting to try this place for awhile and my daughter and I stopped in last night to try the taco special they have on Tuesdays. When we walked in, we weren't really greeted. The waitress from afar said "Just the two of you?", we said yes and she pointed to a table against the wall. We ordered 2 tacos each and that was all. There were 3 other tables already seated when we got there. One was two tables pushed together by the kitchen with I would guess 8 people total (adults and kids). They were already done eating or close to it. I am assuming this was family of the owners because the young children kept running in and out of the kitchen and register/bar area and the adults were helping themselves to drinks, etc. They were using the restaurant as their play area and it was quite distracting to have to listen to it. There was another table of 4 that also had their food already and another table of 2 that were waiting for their food. We were there for a half hour and still no tacos. At that point, I was fed up with listening to the kids run around and not having our food and told her to cancel my order. The entire time, the older waitress was less than welcoming and acted like we were an inconvenience. Not a good experience and will not be returning. The food could be phenomenal but it doesn't matter if the service...
Read moreThis was my first time trying this restaurant and it will be my last. I have over 20+ years of customer service and I have never received worse customer service experience than I did at this restaurant. There is another review about this restaurant that talks about staff being rude and it couldn’t be more spot on. Specifically, the elder older blonde women working the register.
In addition to staff being rude, their pricing of food items is a scam and misleading. The prices of their meals on the website do not match the prices listed in the restaurant. When bringing this up bc my order was higher than expected (bc I ordered takeout off the website) I was told, “we haven’t updated our website in 3 years so there’s nothing I can do for you.” I asked if they would honor the prices I thought I was paying off the website, the elder blonde women said she wouldn’t and “the prices are what they are.”
Lastly, the food descriptions on the site are wildly in accurate with what actually comes on meals. For example, the Mexican sandwich is topped with a “gravy sauce” ….which, on the online menu, there is no mention of gravy sauce in the food description.
If your appreciate good customer service, price integrity, and just basic patron to restaurant experience, do not go to...
