We've been coming to Litchfield since the late 90s. This place opened up last summer and we've been meaning to check it out.
To preface, we love Asian fusion restaurants. Some of the best restaurants we've ever been to were Hispanic-Asian fusion restaurants. The owners are Jamaican, the food seems to be Korean fusion for the most part.
We picked up carryout. Their website is filled with so much ChatGPT on the about page that it made me a bit concerned. Same with the insane volume of 5 star reviews which seem to focus a lot on the "vibes", not to mention the ChatGPT review responses.
Regardless of all the red flags, I put in the order. We always give every place an honest shot.
We got 3x orders of the beef rice bowl (bibimbap), bulgogi dumplings, tuna temaki, ribeye yakitori. Dumplings were fine but nothing special. Yakitori was fine but very small.
The tuna temaki was not wrapped. It was as if half the wrap was put into place but the job never finished. Flavor was ok but they used brown rice not sushi rice.
Bibimbap was underwhelming. $25 and it was lacking in flavor, very small portion of meat.
Overall it wasn't bad, it was just plain, very little seasoning, and portions were wrong for the cost. It is not authentic.
If you are wanting Banchan, Korean BBQ etc, this isn't it.
The people seemed very kind and I can't speak to the dine-in experience. We were optimistic at having an asian option nearby but given the cost vs quality and portion, we won't be back.
Update 6/14/25 Well they decided to respond. Very lengthy and condescending response which further solifies us not coming back. They tried to "educate" us as if we are new to Korean food or fusion restaurants.
Bibimbap - Yes, it all gets mixed up. Your sauce was present and was underwhelming. You also only included ONE CONTAINER OF IT FOR MULTIPLE ORDERS. Also one of the eggs was not cooked sufficiently. Runny is great but you still have to make sure it's not undercooked. Lack of attention to detail. $25 is offensive for the ingredients presented, especially the extremely small portion of protein.
Tuna Temaki - You again attempted to educate us here. No one is expecting a maki style roll when ordering this. It is usually served as a cone and on your online ordering it was shown as a cone. It was not prepared as a cone (hand roll) and did not use sticky white rice but rather brown rice. It's not remote Korean with that type of rice regardless of the fusion concept. Sounds like you all just don't want to bother with the extra steps for proper sticky white rice and it ruins the flavor. Cost savings maybe?
Review response - Note their final paragraph. They basically say "even though we use AI to craft our responses, it's all from the heart". I hate this stuff.
Additional note - My wife and daughters all had upset stomachs after this meal. No one finished anything except the dumplings. As a result of this and their condescending review I am reducing my review to a one star. This restaurant is dramatically overcharging for what they deliver. $25 for Bibimbap is crazy, even at Litchfield. I was so optimistic about this type of restaurant existing in our area. We come down every few months throughout the year including the off-season so we're always looking for great...
Read moreParty Time with full flavor, amazingly friendly service and fantastic food!!! Andomiro came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Easy to get to and with plenty of free parking.... we arrived to sounds of Jamaica playing softly in the background as we were greeted with a friendly smile. We were immediately seated in a very comfy booth. They are glad to walk you thru the unique menu or feel free to dive on in to some really good eating.
We started with the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) wings that included the Korean Spicy Glaze - it was simply amazing! You can even opt to get them with the sweeter Soy Glaze instead.
Once we saw the Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls come out, we had to try that crispy delicious goodness and it was fantastic!
We ordered the Shrimp Bowl and it included tender shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, onions, bean sprouts egg, rice and their special spicy GCJ sauce. It even arrived with cruncy watermelon radish YUMMY!
We also loved the Yakitori Dinner that includes 4 skewers (1 ribeye) with their spin on a veggie stir fry and some out of this world pickled something with jalapeño! Boom!!!
They have so many delicious fresh juices to choose from... Pineapple Ginger, Orange, cranberry, cucumber... I loved the fresh Hearty Beats Beet juice... but if you are really craving an adult beverage - they have hard to find selection in their full bar!!! ... you gotta ask about their current 'secret menu' items. We loved their sorrel (hibiscus) sensation with Jwray and Nephew Overproof Rum!!! Delicious x 5 stars!!!
We finished with a bang again with their secret warm rum cake topped with silky smooth vanilla ice cream.
Run, don't walk to Andomiro's!!! They have something for everyone and every palette!!! Fun vibe too!!! We can't wait to return at least twice with each visit to the beach!!! Locals know and now visitors do too... this is the place to amazing food, great memories and outstanding service! They have amazing delivery services and serve until 2am!
They cater too! Making lunch, dinner or any occasion perfect!
What's not to LOVE! Andomiro, save us a seat as we will...
