Caruso's Pizza & Pasta Italian Eatery — Restaurant in Georgetown

Absolutely horrible. Gave my daughter and I food poisoning from Spaghetti and meatballs and Penne with Broccoli and Spinach. The total was $21.90 and they charged my card $30.98. This was 2 weeks ago and I spoke to Manuel about this, he claimed he would call the bank and get back to me after lunch… I still haven’t received a phone call. Every time I call back I’m told he is not there and there is no other manager available. This last time I called he answered, claimed it was not him and hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again. Very sad they are stealing hard working paying customers money as well as making them sick. Never again.

Update to 3/30/23: Margarita the owners wife finally returned the phone call I made 3/2/23 regarding the overcharge on my account. She was willing to “look into it” as I was told 6 times previous by her husband (3x) Manuel, Oscar and Antonio. I was thrilled and thanked her explaining my next step was calling the cops due to the negligence of non compliance of the law. She then completely switched her attitude to “Oh, you want to call the cops?”… And then asked me again “Oh, you said you want to call the cops?”… and hung up on me. So the Georgetown police now have a report on this crime. I spoke to them for over a week going back and forth and the final decision to refund my money came by Manuel. I've been there twice in my life, and they were both recently. My new roommate took me there for lunch and got us both a slice of cheese pizza and a drink. The pizza here is absolutely delicious!!! Top 5, hands down, like for real!!!!! I gave the service only 3 stars because I took my roommate there last night so we could each get 2 slices and a drink. Except, they didn't have any plain cheese pizzas made, though. 😭 They told me I had to choose from one of the 3, very sad looking pizzas, that were already made. And neither myself, nor my roommate wanted any of that! So I left. Before I pulled out, she asked me how come I didn't ask them to make it fresh for us? But I knew that when the man behind the counter told me, "No cheese slices. You have to choose from 1 of these 3 pies that are already made." There was zero chance at that pizza getting made for us. Sadly, we never did get to eat...

I am appalled by my last visit ,I actually dined in with a family member and the service was awful. Mind you I have been I loyal customer for 5 years .Today the staff were talking spanglish ,laughing at me and my cousin which was weird for starters. Then I get ICE for my cup and the clerk calls me out while I'm enjoying my meal and says I have to pay for refills. In which ,I replied I am just getting more ICE she charged me for several refills it wasn't about the money just horrible customer service and attention to detail...I will never go there again. They barely speak english and quite frankly speaking of ICE they should pay Caruso's a visit and check there papers. Anyone that goes into Caruso's just keep in mind how horrible the customer service is and non speaking english staff. One more thing there bathrooms are always...
