Harvest Diner — Restaurant in Georgetown

This place should win an award for a one of the best home town diners ever! No I'm not writing this because I know these people because I don't even live here! We sadly spent a few days in duck, NC where several of the restaurants basically ripped us off apparently thinking we were one of the rich tourists who wouldn't notice that they charged us far more than our bill ACTUALLY COST. But being on a very tight budget I pay attention to every cost. So this place was like a ray of sunshine after a slow of bad experiences! The staff was very kind and very friendly. And when we looked at the menu I thought this can't be right!! Not only was the choices huge but the prices were so reasonable!! The food was absolutely delicious with big portions. We ended up taking some with us and eating it at a rest stop so they saved us even more money because we didn't have to pay for another meal! And I can't forget the manager...what an incredibly nice man! So overall after those horrible experiences, since we love your state and plan on coming back, we will make it a point to stop again! I ordered a cheeseburger with French fries. My husband ordered a meatball sub and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were ok. All sandwiches come with soup. He I ordered Cream of Crab and I ordered Chicken Noodle. Both souls seemed homemade abs I enjoyed the chicken noodle.

The cheeseburger abs meatball sub were nearly inedible. The quality of the meat was awful and they just tasted off. The fries are coated and greasy.

The restaurant itself seems to be a former Mexican restaurant based on the lighting and decor. The layout is sparse. The restaurant including the bathrooms were not very clean. The table was sticky and the windows filthy. Overall it is not a very good feel in there abs the food with the exception of the soup was terrible.

Also, be mindful if the pictures of the menu online. They are not correct. I went there hoping to get French onion soup, potato skins, and a pork roll sandwich and they didn’t have any of those things. I did list pictures if the menu...

Never had bad food. Food is always good and like all the servers there. Very down to earth people and my 92 yr old mom, son and I go here at least once a month if not twice monthly. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. It's not a big fancy place it's a country type place. We have taken many people there as well when they come visit and we go out. Can't ask for a better place unless you are high class and don't or won't eat somewhere that's not a 5 sta place. Well to me they are 5 star from care of customers to the food. Harvest Diner is my place to go. Been there for breakfast lunch and dinner and bever been disappointed.
