First time coming to this restaurant and definitely the last time. They knew it was graduation and mothers day yet they were out of garlic Knotts ( bread) and shrimp. Especially when about 8 items include shrimp on the menu. Wanted to make this day was special for mothers day. To top it off, when we confronted the manager who stated she was the owner! She was rude and could tell she could care less about our complaint! They did nothing to make us feel like they appreciated our business and customer service was terrible! Guess that's how disabled Veterans are treated now days! Also brought out the complete wrong order for my wife on miters day. She doesn't even like spicy and they brought her a spicy dish instead of her blackened chicken Alfredo.. tips for the restaurant and waitress. 1. Tell your customer what your out of before taking there drinks! 2. When you give our customer a salad, before you walk away make sure there is silverware for the table. 3. When your family comes to eat, they want to eat together, so bring their food out at the same time not minutes later. On Mothers Day, make sure mom feel special don't mess up her order to where she is the last one eating. 4. Treat every customer as if they keep you in business, rather than making It feel like you could care less if you lose one table of customers! 5. Have a way to complain or complement other than saying your the owner and could really care less!! 6. Don't bring out an appetizer that we didn't even order.. 7. Lastly when you say I can substitute the shrimp your out of for octopus, make sure there is octopus in it! 8. Manager should never yell at a customer no matter what. 9. When a customer is clearly unhappy don'take it worse. Manager than said she wouldn't comp my meal as it was terrible and not what I ordered. She tried to make me feel bad for telling her how bad everything is. It came down to me saying I refuse to pay for my meal but I will pay for my family's. She told me I had to pay sorry. Until I said well call the police cause I refuse to pay for this terrible food(bland) (blah). I have an MBA in customer service and have gone to about 2000 restaurants in last 3 years as a field service engineer! I know what to expect. For the manager to then yell at me. Totally uncalled for and will continue to move up the chain until I feel like I'm...
Read moreWell it seems like this restaurant gets great reviews minus the few not so nice ones that I read through, however on that note, I have to say this place stands out as a genuine Italian, great (awesome) food, great atmosphere, and very friendly knowledgeable wait staff. I was visiting my parents from out of town and they eat hear quite frequently. My dad has a men's group that meets for lunch every week here, I think. They have always had great food and great service, and they definitely did not disappoint when my family got there. We were seated quickly, got those wonderful knot rolls quickly (that we took home and had for lunch the next day with our leftovers). They are to die for. I had the eggplant parmigiana which was great and I love that you can have the pasta (I got angel hair) on the side. And to the woman who left a not so nice review about needing more red sauce for her eggplant, mine was enough to spoon the rest onto my pasta. Generous portions but not to much to overwhelm. My husband got blackened chicken over pasta and that was great. Everyone loved what they got. One of my daughters ordered a small pizza with meat and veggies, and that thing had weight on it when we brought it home. Chunky meat and veggies and very fresh. The best part was the wait staff. They were spot on with everything, and since they knew my parents, they made us feel like family. Even that incident with the tea pouch in the coffee maker (if you read this, you know We all joked about it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant again, and hope it's there for years to come so my family can enjoy it the next...
Read moreMy wife and I were in town, having finished up some business, and were set to return home an hour and half away when we saw this gem as we were driving by and decided to give it a try.
First thing you notice is the friendliness of the hostess and waitress. We didn't feel like customers, we felt like friends. It is nice going into a place and feeling like your presence is desired. We noticed other customers were treated as nice.
We are on the large side and were seated at a booth. I tend to worry about booths, but we fitted into them nicely and they were comfortable (The do have tables).
Our waitress was very helpful to my wife in recommendations, which is what my wife picked from. The appetizers (fried calamari) came fairly quickly, which was followed by our side salads. I had their house made balsamic dressing and enjoyed it very much. The main entrees took more time, but business was picking up by that point. The wait was worth it. It did not taste like something hastily put together. My wife loved what she got and my chicken parmigiana was huge! I am not certain, but I think my pasta (angel hair) was freshly made and not store-bought dried pasta. I could be wrong. It was very good.
The tea was good. My wife had sweet, and I had unsweet. Very fresh.
We plan on returning in the...
