Captain D's — Restaurant in Georgia

My name is Franklin. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Georgia, where all the towns are. I am in a relationship with my husband and his boyfriend of six years. I work as an employee for the Walmart store across the street, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t drink, but I occasionally smoke. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life.

I eat at Captain D’s regularly. Usually Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I used to eat at Captain D’s on Sunday but the people of high faith mess with my quiet lifestyle. My typical order consists of the two piece fish meal with a side of fries and okra. Sometimes, If I am feeling generous to myself, I partake in the funnel cake sticks which are oiled up and fried sugary strips of delectable pastry. The food here is generally good, I really like the crunchie munchies, but my husband's boyfriend really likes bouncing the shrimp instead. The employees are really nice. One of the ladies whose name I think was Kayizee jumbled up my jimmy shirmmies, which is something I greatly appreciate. One of the gentlemen in the kitchen even threw in an extra hushpuppy while making beautiful eye contact with me once. Great employees overall!

The inside of the store is very pretty. The Bathrooms are usually very clean, but I dislike the shrike. The Shrike gives me bad vibes, but he’s not to bad once you get to know him. He’s had a difficult past so I understand why he is the way he is. The outdoor trashies are usually pretty nice as well.

Not a bad place at all. It fits my quiet lifestyle very nicely....

1/5/2022 - As you can see from my previous post (5 Stars), I've been a loyal customer and I leave positive feedback when warranted, not just negative comments, like so many others. I was shocked and extremely aggravated today when I was told I could not have two additional cocktail sauces for my dinner. The lady commented there are signs in the store (which I didn't notice until she pointed out) and that everyone else was doing it. She cited Zaxby's as an example. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean you should. I love the fact that the meals seem fresher and the staff usually very friendly at your Captain D's and I give you my business mainly because of those two things. Even though your prices are higher than most fast food restaurants, I like to support businesses that give a little extra attention to my meal. Your Captain D's always seemed to be that way. However today was a HUGE disappointment! My meal was $14.41 and you couldn't see fit to give me more than one cocktail sauce? You blamed supply issues. Ingles has plenty of cocktail sauce, ketchup and horseradish. If you cared enough, you'd find more cocktail sauce somewhere. Instead, you allowed a faithful customer to leave upset and hungry. Instead you wasted a full meal and lost out on my $14.41 today and probably anytime in the near future. VERY SURPRISED & DISAPPOINTED!

The gentleman at the cash register was doing a great job his first day. That's the reason for the two star review. Otherwise, you would've gotten only 1 today.

November, 2021 - Consistently good food and excellent service. Always fresh and hot...

We went through the drive-thru in Cleveland GA on 11/7/24. At around 5:30pm. One of our meals was left out. The fries in the meal that we received was old and dried out. I call the restaurant spoke with a lady who said she was the manager. I explained that one of the meals was left out and I told her the fries were old. The manager proceeded to argue with me about the fries not being old she said she just cooked them herself. Never said a word about the meal that was left out. I said to the lady that I would be calling The name and number on the bottom of the receipt. Which is Jim McClure. The manager said You go right ahead b**. I'm still kinda new to Cleveland GA. I am from Hall county. I have frequented the Captain D's in Gainesville and the Captain D's in oakwood. I have never gotten anything but exceptional service from the oakwood restaurant and the Gainesville restaurant. The Gainesville restaurant is old and rundown but they gave me good service. There is no way Oakwood or Gainesville would have served a meal like I received from the Cleveland location. On the plus side the did give me 12 containers of honey mustard, two containers of ranch and two tartar sauce. Thanks! Now I can refill my honey mustard salad dressing bottle at home. No need to buy any, Captain D's will give it to you. I did call the number on the bottom of the receipt for a Mr Jim McClure and I am waiting for him to return my call I did text a picture of the fries to that number. And I'll be happy to send a text picture of the 12 containers of honey mustard that I received. Once again thanks for the honey...
