I ordered take out a week ago from here and the wings were lemon pepper and buffalo. They were delicious. They were crispy and cooked without a batter and the lemon pepper were seasoned to perfection and the buffalo wings were drenched in a delicious sauce. The veg lo mein was very good. Fast forward one week and I ordered the wings and lo mein again but a larger amount since I knew how good they were. WRONG...they were awful. The wings were cooked in a batter and the lemon pepper was non existent. The lemon pepper wings were just greasy fried wings. The buffalo ones were a soggy bunch of flour battered wings with a faint hot sauce flavor on the soggy skin. The veggie lo mein had very few noodles and mostly veggies with very little sauce. You would expect the food to be prepared the same each time but not so. I spent over 90 dollars and was told no when I asked to return the food . They did not offer to cook again and they put the wrong sauce with another dish I had ordered. Worst experience and customer service. I thought I had found my favorite Chinese restaurant but I was sadly wrong. They obviously use different chefs who cook everything their own way. Will not ever return. Consistency is cooking is not...
Read moreThis place use to be my go to place whenever I wanted good, fast, clean Chinese food. Not now, fast service is all I can say about it now. Ordered Seafood fried rice and only 3 pieces of Seafood, rice and vegetables undercooked and braised wings were terrible. Called back to complain after throwing food away to ask what comes in Seafood fried rice and was told they put 3 of each Seafood in rice. Which was an outright LIE. I explained that this was my second time getting this and they only put 3 pieces of Seafood in it. Also the rice was undercooked along with the vegetables. They could care less and said bring it back for them to see it. Warning to McDonough residents.. .FIND ANOTHER CHINESE RESTAURANT THAT VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND RESPECT YOUR BUSINESS!!! Food Wasn't worth the money or 15...
Read moreMy Husband and I have been searching for a good spot for Chinese food so we thought we would check this place out. We arrived and was seated quickly ordered braised chicken wings for an appetizer they where average with way to much sauce on them. We then ordered Dinner arrived hot triple Mongolian and triple X both house specials. My Husband Mongolian was very watery and sweet almost like sugar. I proceeded into my second bite and felt something very chewy and sticky in my mouth, as I stopped and pullled a large piece of what looked like slime out of my mouth asked the waiter what it was she said oh that’s probably corn starch we use to thicken the sauce. She said oh sorry looks like they didn’t cook it down enough. Needless to say that was our first and last time at China star....
