I went to Farmhaus Burgers with some friends on a recent Saturday night. We were looking for a casual place to eat and the restaurant had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try.
The atmosphere at Farmhaus Burgers is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, but the interior is decorated nicely with exposed brick and wood accents. There is a large outdoor patio that is dog-friendly, which was a plus for us.
We started our meal with the onion rings. The onion rings were large and crispy, but they were also very greasy. The dipping sauce was a honey mustard sauce, which was good, but it didn't do enough to offset the greasiness of the onion rings.
For our main course, we ordered the Farmhaus Burger, the BBQ Bacon Burger, and the Veggie Burger. The Farmhaus Burger was made with a half-pound beef patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The burger was cooked to perfection and the flavors were all well-balanced. The BBQ Bacon Burger was also good, but the BBQ sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The Veggie Burger was a bit dry, but it was still enjoyable.
Overall, our meal at Farmhaus Burgers was just okay. The burgers were good, but the onion rings were greasy and the veggie burger was a bit dry. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual, but the prices were a bit high. I would give Farmhaus Burgers a 3 out of 5 stars.
Here are some pros and cons of Farmhaus Burgers:
Pros:
Good burgers
Friendly service
Casual atmosphere
Dog-friendly patio
Cons:
Greasy onion rings
Dry veggie burger
High prices
Overall, Farmhaus Burgers is a decent place to get a burger, but there are better options in Augusta. If you're looking for a casual meal with friends, Farmhaus Burgers is a good choice. However, if you're looking for a truly great burger, you'll need to...
Read moreWe eat here regularly and have never been disappointed.
Kid friendliness: Our 1st grader LOVES the kids cheeseburger meal, she will eat the whole thing... and she can be a picky eater at a lot of restaurants.
Burgers:
New Mexico: It was good, but I don't think I'll get it again... there was nothing wrong with it I just like some of the other options better.
Wild Turkey: I've gotten this more than once and I've always really enjoyed it, the pickled onions are REALLY good.
Farmstyle: I've gotten this several times, it's a little messy with the runny egg yolk but that's to be expected. This is probably the best tasting burger on the menu and I'll be getting it again next time... probably.
Chili Cheese: This one was a surprise, the chili was held in place by an onion ring placed on top of the burger patty... innovative! It was good, but I like the Farmstyle more.
Sides:
The fries are REALLY good and the serving sizes are generous, I HIGHLY recommend the feta dipping sauce for an extra $.50
The sweet potato tots were unexpected, they are very gooey on the inside... almost more of a desert than a savory side.
The onion rings are excellent, nothing weird.
The fried pickles are really good, and they give you a boat load so they're great for sharing.
The fried jalapeños were SPICY!!! They look like whole jalapeños that have been sliced lengthwise... including all the seeds. They are battered and fried and served with a little cup of ranch dipping sauce. I really like spicy food, but we left a bunch of these in the basket... they were...
Read moreLocation is a bit weird, off the freeway, down the street, beside a gas station, a 3 star hotel, and an industrial area. Walked in on a Saturday evening around 8ish, sat at the bar. Not full, not really busy. Bartender asks what I want, I get some samples before I decide on a beer. It's cold and crisp. I order a signature burger (southwestern styled) and fries. Fries and other sides are not included in the price or the $11 burger. TVs with college games going, that's cool. Food arrives, nice and hot, which is great. A very small cup of fries inside of paper beside my burger. Fries are not as hot as the burger, so they were done first and waiting. The paper inside the cup appears to be more of a deterrent than anything, preventing one from getting too large a portion. Didn't know potatoes were that expensive these days. Fries aren't bad, pretty salty. Could've been better if they were hot. Burger tastes very good. Not overly seasoned, cheese melted nicely, but can hardly taste the hatch chilis. It has two patties; why not just make them thicker and give serve one? Meat is cooked to a nice medium, much appreciated. Bun is just okay, nothing special. Comparable to a soft brioche. Lettuce seems crisp at the base, the rest is very soft. No other veggies, but I didn't ask for anything extra either. Bartenders are attentive, which is good. Overall this is just an average place serving average food in an average town. Nothing stands out. And the food is definitely not worth $11 plus $3+ for a side. I will not...
