5-Star CiCi's! Labor Day lunch rush did NOT defeat this team!
There I was. Labor Day 2022. My name is Grampy. I needed to feed 8 kids, 2 grandkids, and one very voluptuous Grammy. The boys (sons and sons-in-law) clamored for CiCi's. Their wives made silent bets on whose husband could destroy more pizza aling with their intestinal tracts. We made the short trip to find the only CiCi's in 100 miles.
As we approached the stand-alone beautiful castle on the hill next to I-520, we saw the parking lot was FULL. Not "full" like a 3-year-old holding out for ice cream, mind you. FULL like how my ex-wife is so full of it that her eyes turned brown. Parking was tight.
The inside was packed like that 3-year-old after discovering ice cream sandwiches in the bottom freezer drawer at our house.
All jokes aside, the front of house staff were moving like whirling dervishes cleaning tables, setting chairs, sweeping, refilling ice and soda machines, and emptying trash cans. There was almost 0 mess even with a fully packed house.
The back of house were even more amazing. Let me be clear, there had to have been 100 people and kids all eating. THEY NEVER RAN OUT OF PIZZA. This staff even kept multiple varieties on the buffet. Nothing was sub-par for CiCi's standards. Seriously. Miraculous. The kitchen looked like a professional pizza robot machine with how quick and efficient each crew was working their station.
The manager was visible moving fluidly between back and front of house, handling hot spots like a total boss: never panicked, but moving with purpose.
Reality check: we don't go to CiCi's looking for 5-star pizza. The pizza was 💯 CiCi's pizza.
This team, though? 💯 professional on a day that would sink and destroy the weak or faint of heart.
Well done,...
Read moreIf I could rate this place with no stars I would. We went with a party of 5 people. I had a coupon for $3.99. The fine print said one coupon per party, per visit. The woman at the front said I could only use one coupon per one person. I showed her that it said 1 per party. She argued that it meant one person. I showed the manager who agreed but said she had to call the owner. She came back saying the owner will not honor that for everyone. Not all of my family brought their phones so I ended up paying full price for 2 of us. I would have left but my children really wanted to go. Then I pay for drinks for 5 adult because my youngest is 11. She gave me a child size drink for him but charged me for an adult. But what makes it so bad is how she kept walking away from us and when I asked for something she had a bad attitude. Then the pizza was hard and rubbery. Nothing like it used to be. They didn't even have a variety like they used to. For example, they had 4 slices of macaroni pizza,. 3 buffalo chicken slices and 2 slices of some other pizza all on the same pan. They had 1 pan of pepperoni, one of cheese and one of sausage. They give you the slices on a paper plate and only put two of each kind you want on there. Now, anyone who's gone to CiCi's before the pandemic know the slices are small. But, I will never eat there again and I have half the mind to sue for false...
Read moreThis location is awesome. Despite it being super busy on Friday night, I was greeted with a smile and told what the current wait time was. Staff was on point with making sure tables were cleaned as families left to sit down waiting customers.
Behind the pizza counter, staff were working really well together and staying busy. I put in my request for my custom pizza and it was ready very quickly. The ladies behind the pizza counter are all super awesome.
During our time eating, the busboy did not have any tables to clean and came over to our table and asked if we would like any of our plates (no longer being used) to be removed. It was really nice for him to do so, as this is not a requirement (a sign on the table asks guest to put their dirty plates near the trash cans). He came over one or two more times to do the same thing and we saw him periodically throughout the night approach other families to do the same thing. I wish all workers in the hospitality/service industry were as attentive and customer oriented as this gentleman. We made sure to give a tip because he honestly earned it by going above and beyond.
Overall, if you are wanting pizza with awesome service I suggest going to...
