Holey Sweet Donuts — Restaurant in Georgia

By far the best donut shop in Stockbridge, GA! The customer service is amazing! They actually remember you and know your face! One of the employees there (don't know how to spell it, but her name is pronounced "EE-Lang") is one of the sweetest women I've ever met! I'm definitely a regular at this place, and last week she even asked me, "Hello, sweetie! Are you here for your favorite lemon-filled donuts?" I of course answered yes because, indeed, their lemon-filled donuts actually taste fruity and tart, and they're generous with the filling! What made me smile most about her saying that is the fact that I feel as though she knows me. The people here actually chat with you as a person, not just a customer. I pray more restauraunts and bakeries follow suit; it may not seem special or impactful, but it makes a huge difference! Okay, this is easily one of the best effin' donuts I ever tasted. (I measure donut quality based on a shop's basic glazed yeast donut.) And the one they'e serving up at Holey Sweet Donuts in Stockbridge is by FAR the best donut I've ever had in Atlanta. I also had the cinnamon roll and it was good as well, but CRAZY sweet. (And I wasn't mad about it.) They also have tons of other interesting donut concoctions for those of you into that sort of thing like Red Velvet, Fruity Pebble, Maple Bacon, Pistachio, etc. But those are not my thing. (I keeps it simply when it comes to my donuts.) My only gripe is the donuts are not that big. I've seen bigger around town. (That's what she said.) Nevertheless, long-story short, if you're trying to get your donut fix AND lose a tooth, Holey Sweet Donuts is the spot for you....

This little gem is tucked away next to a gas station off the beaten path. It’s a small building with only a few tables for dine in. We are used to Krispy Kreme but wanted a change.

They have a great selection of fresh donuts. The donuts are light and airy. The Fruit Pebbles donut caught my attention. They have chocolate or vanilla icing with Fruit Pebbles on top. It adds the perfect crunch to the donut. They also have a Maple Bacon donut. I didn’t try that one this time but I will next time. It looked like it had the perfect amount of bacon on top to make a great sweet/salty combination. The apple fritters, cinnamon, and filled donuts are huge.
