Horrible customer service. I went in with my boyfriend and immediately when I'm about to order the cashier leaves in middle of me talking and calls for someone else to ring me up i was a bit confused for second because she first started speaking Spanish to me and I replied back in Spanish because it is my 2nd language so there wasn't a translation barrier between us. The only other thing I could assume for why she didn't want to take my order was because I was probably gay. I honestly felt discriminated against. I drove far to get there because I wanted my boyfriend to experience good Mexican food. I placed my order since I did drive far to get there. My # gets called and i hand the food to my boyfriend and it accidentally fell so I ask the cashier if by any chance I can get a replacement for the item that fell which wasn't inexpensive probably around $5 and she asks a male cook (don't know if he was the manager or not) if they'll be able to make me a new one and he just looks at the food that fell and says no. That's horrible customer service to in my opinion. I go ahead and pay for another one just because we were hungry. Then I try to get the attention of the cashier to try to tell her about my frustration and she's just simply standing by the topping bar distracted watching TV as I'm trying to talk to her I completely get ignored. I will never step foot back into that place again. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left it was all crappy for me and...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill. We moved out to Atlanta about two years ago. The food quality used to be so much better. The last 3 times we've come here, the kitchen and dining areas at this location have been filthy dirty. They take forever to make your food. The sandwiches used to have more fillings in them than they did bread, now the majority of their tortas are primarily bread with very little meat. The quesadillas are $7 for litlerally two packaged walmart tortillas heated up with some bland white cheese ; and they put little meat in them. They charge you a decent amount for such small portions of food. There are so many bad things I could say about this place. I hope that they can eventually win me back. I used to love them. Not sure if they changed management or what has happened, but their food has gone to hell. At this time I would never recommend them. Try a place like Tortas Factory DF or other hole in the wall businesses, they'll take much better care of you and provide you with better food. My wife and I are never giving our business to these guys from...
Read moreProbably the best chain in Gwinnett, and maybe all of Georgia. I come here for tacos. Specifically, al pastor tacos. And unlike many other places that have "al pastor" on the menu, THIS chain, Las Tortas Locas, actually have TROMPOS in their stores. I don't see how the other places can claim "al pastor" when they don't have a trompo.
These are the best tacos I had outside of Mexico City. And maybe just as good. They are authentic:
Al pastor from a trompo. Double corn tortillas. Onions and cilantro (no lettuce or tomatoes, that is Americanized). Restaurant sized, not the small street-sized tacos. The salsa bar is nice. You have a variety from which to choose. As well as peppers, onions, and macaroni.
I always get al pastor. But I should try their carnitas next time. I wonder if they actually cook their carnitas in a cazo.
I have to wonder if they make their own tortillas...
