Mirza Lounge — Restaurant in Georgia

My partner and I go to this hookah bar regularly, we spend good money and tip very well because we enjoy the vibe and MOST of the employees there. I’m not sure what her name is, but the bartender who was working the bar alone (a thicker light skinned girl) on 08/03 @ 12am WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXCUSE OF A BARTENDER/WAITRESS THAT WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED at this establishment. Immediately arriving to the bar, she had a poor customer service attitude. I ordered a hookah almost as soon as we sat down. Even though we didn’t get a hookah menu- I asked her of some suggestions and she wrote me off like she didn’t know (which she probably didn’t but Sis grab me a hookah menu) so, after pulling the first tooth- I ordered a strawberry hookah at 11:15 PM roundabout. She was extremely evasive and inattentive The entire evening. We kept having to wave her down, even though she was walking right in front of us! It was like she was purposefully looking past us to not address any needs we may have had. We like to order all of our items upfront that way we don’t burden her all night. For example, I went to order our drinks. I ordered a gray goose and cranberry and before I could even get the second drink order out she walks off. Then when she comes back after four attempts of us waving her down, she brings me the drink and I have to catch her before she walks off again to order another drink for myself. She rushed us through our food orders and by this time it has been 40 minutes, still no hookah. Then an hour later, another couple comes in and sits at the opposite end of the bar. The hookah lady comes in to the bar area with a hookah and my boyfriend waves her down because we are under the impression that it’s our hookah, that we have been waiting for for over an hour. It wasn’t. It was the hookah for the couple who came an hour after we did. When I asked that bartender about where my hookah was, she pick up her phone and gestured that she is checking on it right now (mind you it’s been an hour). Then, the hookah girl asks me what I ordered and I told her a strawberry flavored hookah over an hour ago. The hookah girl apologized profusely, and immediately went to go get our hookah prepared. The bartender then tried to offer me her hookah, which I declined. It was so long, that our food came out 30 minutes before the hookah ever made it to the bar. I have never in my life been so disappointed in the amount of disregard that this server had. The crazy thing is she didn’t have the disregard with all of the patrons at the bar. She seemed like a great bartender for all of the other patrons. But, for some reason we were just too big middle fingers in her eyes. When it came time to pay the bill- they still charged me for this hour and a half late hookah That was poorly done and didn’t even pull for longer than 25 minutes. And then the restaurant automatically takes $17 worth of gratuity and include it in the total. We paid our bill. But please believe I did NOT tip her anything extra because sis didn’t even earn or deserve the gratuity they already added. So, yeah please do better. The music and drinks were decent. However, the customer service is horrible, horrendous, and straight trash! Walked inside 2/22/2025 a little after 9pm we were waiting for help. A lady worked there with straight hair looked dead at us, rolled her eyes and went straight in the kitchen. We were greeted 5 min later and taken to our section we had a reservation. The waitress was ok but she was forgetful and inattentive. We ordered drinks took over 30 minutes to just get some drinks. We then ordered food which took well over 2 hours to come out and we were starving. She came to the table and said the food was coming in 5 minutes and that was definitely lie. Then she forgot to put in the loaded nachos we ordered. When the wings came out we were like where are the nachos we ordered. She didn’t come back to the table to check on us after she gave us our wings. I had to go look for another waitress and ask her to come back. So after another 2 hours pass she came back with the checks. My friend asked her where are the nachos she then said I thought it was loaded fries I’m like huh. We clearly said nachos and asked what meat we wanted. Then she came back with a receipt for $17 for the nachos. Then as we were trying to sign our checks she was standing over us watching us hard like she was expecting to get additional tip. Cause they charge a service charge. Then told us she was switching to another section. My friend was like forget it cause at this point they should be on the house cause she forgot to bring them hours ago. Then the new server told us she never rang them in at all. Then had the nerve to try and charge for them. No apologies or no compensation to make it right. Then on top of that my friend ordered water she failed to tell her it was $5 for a bottle of water. We had enough and decided to leave my friends and I were walking to the car. The aggressive security come after my friend and aggressively nudged her and tells her she can not take her $5 bottle of water with her! I visited Mirza "Hookah Lounge" yesterday. And these are some of my takeaways. First of all, the moment you walk up to the front, there's security not only checking ID, but also patting down every patron. I didn't really think of this too negatively, neither did my friend. There's nothing wrong with extra security. But, this gave club vibes, when we signed up for a hookah lounge (as they call it.) Given that hookah lounges are 21+, I totally understood that this is possible and I didn't overthink it, neither did my friend. But, the moment we stepped in, we wanted to leave. The music was insanely loud. The place was full of smoke. There were about 10-12 very scantily clad women sitting in a seating area. They were the waitresses. Immediately we felt that this was more of a club/strip club, than a hookah lounge. Keep in mind that he's married, and I'm about to be engaged to my long-time girlfriend any time soon. This was a very uncomfortable position for the both of us to be in. But, it was 10 pm and most other places were either closed or closing very soon. So we decided to just go ahead and eat and smoke outside, so we can ignore the uncomfortable ambience they had created, and we ordered while yelling because the music was so loud! Now, I understand that many of their patrons must know that this is the kind of vibe they sell, but I don't expect to see this when I go to a hookah lounge, and I've been to maybe 100+ across America. Neither of us likes clubs, we were there for a nice chill vibe. The only thing my friend and I could do by the end of it all, was laugh about it out of discomfort. They literally sell condoms in the vending machines! If you're looking for a simple hookah experience you're accustomed to at most middle eastern places, you won't receive this here. So, unless if you're looking for a club, I suggest you stay away, especially if you're with family.

The place only gets two stars because of the good quality food and great hookah! Surprisingly good hookah for this kind of a place. If it wasn't for those two plus points, I'd give this place a 0. Beware of where...
