Lucky Chinese Restauran — Restaurant in Georgia

My Experience at Luckys Restaurant Tonight! I sent my son to pick up the food, he waits for it to get ready! When it’s ready he brings it home! We look at it at it and it looks like it’s a week old! I call the restaurant and the lady has a terrible attitude and proceeded to tell me that I can bring the food back and get my refund! I’m like “bet” I’m otw! I get there and she lashes out and tells me that they don’t want customers like me and nobody has ever made any complaints about their food before! I’m like ma’am, that’s not how you talk to customers! This is not a good product , the food is old, you told me to bring it back! She proceeds to yell, argue, and a man comes out the back! I’m like sir can I speak with you? She says no and then tell me that’s she’s gonna call the cops on me and I’m being recorded! She then tell me she’ll only refund me for the wings! We’re going back and forth and I’m like I’m glad my wife ain’t here cause she would’ve fought this lady! I tell the lady I promise you I I’ll never come back to the restaurant! Food is terrible, customer service is horrible, and above all you got an attitude about your product! I go home tell the wife and she calls the police and thy agree to meet us up there! The officer goes in and get her side of the story and she tells him to tell us we can get a refund we just can’t come back anymore! We go in and get the refund and she starts mouthing off again! I don’t usually go on facebook with this kind of stuff but this time I’ll make an exception! I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m sick of poor food quality in Mcduffie County! I understand the condition of the economy but I’m straight on anybody raising the prices and declining on you customer service and food quality! I’ve been going to luckys since I was a child and I know the ownership is different but the food and customer service consistently drops the ball!! Along with a lot of other restaurants in Thomson! As for Luckys, you ain’t got to worry bout me ever coming back!! You don’t need my money to be successful! Thanks but no thanks! I wanna say more but I’ll leave...

DELETED REVIEWS. + update

Im a native to Thomson, so Ive gone to Lucky since I was a kid. However, after covid, the quality took a NOSE DIVE and there was a plethora of bad reviews. Even in my own experience post covid, they have served me food (especially the rice) that looked and tasted DAYS old. Within the past year, all of those reviews suddenly went away, making Lucky go from 3 stars to 4.4. Do not fall for this tactic, be weary of this restaurant and their practices. Great Wall is a better option, food-wise, even though their staff is more hostile.

Update: Look at their response... Then look at their YELP. They didnt delete their yelp reviews/posting, and their ranking is still a 2.9. The original score. I now 100% believe the other reviews that talk about how argumentative and aggressive the new staff here is. I wasnt sent by Great Wall to discredit Lucky, I simply wanted to warn fellow residents about bad experiences/ disingenuous practices unique to Luckys and provide a better alternative... In this economy, no one deserves to be aggressed AND served bad food. If it makes the owners feel better, Lucky is better than Ming Wah 💀. However, instead of arguing with customers, Lucky needs to start improving their business practices. Because we could take it to the BBB, GA department of health, or USDA if they REALLY want...

This restaurant is my favorite Chinese restaurant ever. I am a loyal customer here and I always take my family here because the food is so delicious. Me and my family both love it. The atmosphere is so calming and clean, everything about this restaurant is a 10/10. I love the teriyaki chicken and the chow mein that they offer, I always have to get those two whenever I come here. I definitely recommend to eat here and the price is affordable too.
