The BEST tacos in Atlanta! Obviously, you are not going to get the best tacos ever because we are not in Mexico on a street corner at a taco stand, but these are very close to it (minus the street). We come here very frequently, and get the meat plate (by the lb) and do the half lengua (cow tongue) and carne asada (steak) more for your money. The lengua is done right, and the tortillas are like the original street tacos, SMALL! we've tried alot of top rated taco places here in Atlanta, but this one by far is THE BEST (I go to Mexico alot & compare it to there).. The "aguas frescas" (fruit juices and rice beverages) are good, and the salsa bar selection is GREAT! It does pack out at certain times, and you will see people of all backgrounds here. Just don't go too late, as they will take the last dine in order at 9:30pm, and they will get a bit grumpy if you are there eating up to 10....
Read moreThis is probably one of my favorite taco shops (and Mexican restaurants) in Atlanta. I was born and raised in Southern California so that's saying something about its' authenticity. Beans and rice are consistently well-seasoned and smooth. This is my go to place for a fantastic bean and cheese burrito with a freshly-made tortilla, dollar tacos, carne asada burritos and tamarindo (agua fresca or delicious juice).
They do speak English here but you will hear more Spanish than anything, which in my opinion is a good thing to hear in a Mexican restaurant. You can also do call ahead orders however they usually don't take too long to make the food. And I am sure whoever answers the phone usually assumes you want Spanish but they probably also know English.
The seating area is a little small but that's not out of the ordinary for...
Read moreI tried this place 2 days ago and I’m still at a loss for words on what to write, the food was THAT good. I had crunchy tacos, one chicken, one shrimp, and one carne asada. They put refried beans inside of the crunchy tacos which takes the flavor to another level, but you can request it without if you’re not that adventurous. I also got a side of rice and it was also delicious, very light and fluffy. If you enjoy spicy food, you have to try the yellowish green creamy salsa they have at the salsa bar! It’s very flavorful with a powerful kick. I do feel like the horchata had a little bit too much cinnamon but it was still very good despite that. I don’t live close by but I will gladly make this drive next time I’m in the...
