TB&J BBQ — Restaurant in Georgia

One of only a few restaurants that Batesville has to offer. I haven't had anything to complain about here. It's a well appreciated, seasonal BBQ shack the folks of Batesville have to enjoy, as well as surrounding areas. The food here is real and cared about. The owner/owners have always been accommodating and critical of any feedback when asked. When I offer feedback it is never to criticize, but to give insight towards hopes of a small business continuing to grow and thrive. The owner is affable enough to accept feedback given. The ribs I remember to be very succulent and the pulled pork is very juicy. The wings are my favorite personally. Although, upon my last (of three total visits thus far) there was a small mishap pertaining to a flare up on the smoker with the wings. The owner gave me two to sample. They were burnt, but that's ok. Things happen. I'd rather eat a partially burnt chicken wing where someone was cooking it with purpose and determination with the goal of perfection in mind than some deplorable thrown together KFC meal. Has anyone reading this been to the KFC in Cornelia? They are terrible. This...

This place is very unassuming but has some of the most phenomenal BBQ my wife or I have ever had!

Now the backstory...my small family and I travelled from Jacksonville, FL in mid-October to experience Fall in North Georgia. After driving, hiking, and doing the touristy things families do, we had a hunger for true, authentic BBQ. We did a Google search and this place popped up 12 miles away. The ratings were high so we made the 20-min or so drive in the opposite direction of where we were staying just to check it out. It did NOT disappoint!

Tyler (I believe his name is) and Jessica (thus the "T" "B" & "J") were so friendly and professional. When I began to order a variety of things from the menu Tyler suggested their sampler platter which ended up being absolutely perfect. So good, we devoured it and ordered a second platter!

I could go on about the food and service, but this you MUST see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. We will make the extra drive whenever we're within an hour's driving distance away...it...

Ch3f James review led us to this gem in the mountains. I don't know what else can be said. This is one of the best barbecue joints I've been too and I've been to a lot. The ribs just fell apart right off the bone and the pulled pork nachos were devine. I'm a firm believer that great barbecue must have equally great sides. Oh my god do the have some wonderful sides. The smoked mac and cheese was amazing but let me tell you about those beans. I'm picky about my beans and usually don't like the beans at most places. The beans were the perfect amount of smokey and sweet. I absolutely loved them with the ribs. Excellent pairing if I don't say. Lastly I just want to say the owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet and the most humble. I was telling them how we stopped in because of the reviews. They weren't cocky about there reviews and just said people are too nice. That's when you know you found a gem. We'll defiantly be telling others I know who visit this area to...
