The Box Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

My husband and I have gone here a few times for date night because it's close to our home and the hours are great for during the week so we don't have to feel rushed. However, we will not be returning after an incident that occurred last night (Tuesday, June 6th) and was handled very poorly on both the bartender and what we're assuming is a 'regular.' My husband needed to use the restroom, but the men's bathroom was blocked/closed with NO SIGN posted from management or staff and the logical thing and what most would have done was go into the women's 1 and only stalled bathroom. When my husband came out, a lady went all on him and even when she returned to her seat which was close to where we were sitting at the bar, she kept going on and on about to everyone around there and when we tried to tell her that "we're sitting right here we can hear you and that how were we supposed to know if there was another bathroom?" She not once would ever make eye contact with us and kept saying "that's just gross! There's another bathroom!" Again, we don't come here much and secondly.. there was NO SIGN on the men's bathroom stating there was another one in the building and thirdly, this particular lady made a seen without being reprimanded for her behavior (along with her vaping nonstop at the bar where food is served). Though I did not want to start a conflict so I stayed in my seat and calmly processed what just happened and kept looking in this lady's direction in hopes I would be able to have a cordial conversation, but instead, the bartender approached me and asked "if I was ok" and I stated that "I was not and that I did not like how she treated my husband and the scene she caused." She BOLDLY told me that "I need to stop starring that it's not going to do any good." I do not appreciate being confronted like that especially when I was not doing a thing except sitting quietly in my seat when this other lady was running her mouth and causing a seen in a place of business along with vaping. This was my 2nd time coming into this establishment, first time eating here. My server was Reece. This was not a great experience. When I got sat and waited for 15 minutes. She then comes over, no “hello” just “what can I get you?” No eye contact. I barely got my drink order out and she sped off. Which I was clearly ready to order. My menu was down and I was watching her talk to coworkers a few feet away. I continued to wait. She finally comes to my table to take my order. I asked for the check because I was ready to go. She never came back to check if everything was okay. I put my card down. She came up swiped it. Asked me to sign. Then walked away. Saying nothing. Good thing I am an industry vet and still tipped 18% even though she never greeted or made me feel welcomed. As I’m getting ready to leave. Instead of pre-bussing throughout service. She asked if she could get anything out of the way. She then proceeded to stack all of my plates in front of me and even wiped the table with a napkin and wiped ranch on my keys. Again. She left and said nothing. This was not fun, it was Friday night and I wanted to unwind after work. Ok so a group of us have now tried The Box multiple times. The first time for me was a party of 12 and it took 2 hours for the appetizers to arrive and another hour for the food. We assumed it was because it was a weekend night and they were a little busy. Went on a weekday and same experience. 7 adults and a child, and still took over an hour for our appetizer to arrive and the child still never got her food. The waitress said “it will be out in just a second” and 25 minutes later we asked for a manager, because the child STILL had no food. We were told the manager wasn’t there but said we could have a free drink and free appetizer. We decided to forgo the meal because all we were getting was excuses and asked for the checks. The waitress brought the checks, then promptly said never mind don’t worry about it and spun off to talk to people at the bar about us. Firstly, I do not appreciate the waitress talking to customers about us (who was actually the manager without enough balls to face us), Second, over an hour for a SALAD or a child’s meal?! If you can’t make sure the customers are happy, how is the business going to succeed? This is poor management and totally unacceptable! We will never be back. So much for...
