The Waterside Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

Staying at the hotel as I write this review. The Salmon I had last night for dinner was over cooked and no season. The breakfast I had was pretty good but the server was terrible. She acted like she didn’t want to do her job. The server acted like it pained her to approach the guest if they needed anything else! The cook NEEDS to know what crispy bacon is. I can cook better bacon in the microwave than this place. Should we be concerned that they keep orange juice out at room temperature and not in the refrigerator? I wonder when they were inspected by the health department?? Much work needs to be done at this so called restaurant. You would think that the restaurant manager would get a clue and realize he is failing his guest who comes in to the restaurant to eat. I would be embarrassed if I ran a restaurant that terrible. I gave you two tries once for supper and the other for breakfast. Like I said the server was so bad I almost got up and got myself more orange juice since my waitress was no where to be found. You would think that the restaurant manager would have talked to me but that didn’t happen. Please stay away from this restaurant until major changes happen. Wow, I rarely do reviews but shocked at what my husband and I paid for! We were invited by one of our favorite cousin to join her in celebrating her birthday! Not to take away from her celebration because in our hearts we were there for her, but would have love to have enjoyed our food too! We spent $100 for a meal that should have been $20! The food was horrible, I'm not bragging but I have been blessed to enjoy fine dining and spend $100 and it was delicious! Yes, we tried to make the best of it, fish was cold and tasteless, crab legs tasted like they were boiled in water, I'm not trying to be funny but I can do crab legs better than that! , and who puts banana peppers in collard greens? Ths mac and cheese, not good at all And the desserts were cold and dry! Presentation was nice, the resort seems nice and clean, we didn't stay overnight in which I loved the view , but wouldn't eat there again!! We arrived at 11:35am for lunch to use our dining credit from the hotel stay. We were told we could order, or wait for the lunch buffet that would be open at 12PM and were shown the buffet menu. The kids wanted the buffet. So we waited. And were excited. 12pm rolled around and it wasn't open. We waited. Only a few more minutes right? At 12:15pm it wasn't open. We waited more. Here we are an hour later, at 12:40pm and the lunch buffet is still not open. The kids have been good up until now but boredom and hunger are fast setting in. At this point, even if we order we are probably looking at at least a 20 min wait for our ordered food to cook. We are hungry, still have a long drive ahead, an unused credit and this is turning out to be miserable. We will probably leave miserable and hungry if the food is not ready in the next 10 mins.
