Really cool spot to visit! Parking isn't far and there are lots of paths that lead up to it. The approach under the train tracks and through the woods is quite spectacular. We were lucky enough to catch the train coming through! It's amazing to see the path the granite had to take, and hard to imagine what incredibly grueling work it all must have been. Loved all the history and documentation they had to share on it. We were glad we made the visit. Highly recommend!

If you've read my other reviews, you know I love Stone Mountain (despite it's beginnings). If you happen upon the Quarry Exhibit, you'll get a different view of the mountain plus some background about how the mountain was used for granite, etc. Go see yourself!! 👍🏾

What an awesome extra thing to have at the Stone mountain Park. Didn't know it was here. Thoroughly enjoyed learning something and it had beautiful views. Definitely worth the stop if you come to Stone mountain

With Stone Mountains wide a varied history, this exhibit is a great look into the quarry years of the mountain. Take the time to see where all the granite has gone, see what the working conditions were like to raise a ledge, and how much you can earn. Above all else, this is included in your gate fee, no extra charge. So...

This is a small walk up exhibit that is near the location of the old quarry. There are photos and a few hand tools there. You will need to do some reading of the story boards to get a feel for the history of this place. If you have a spare 15 minutes it’s...
