We’ve been to this place a few times in the past with a dismal experience today. Showed up at 10 AM hungry for breakfast… (we had had breakfast here just the previous day) two waitresses repeatedly walked right by us practically brushing elbows… but no acknowledgment that we were there whatsoever. After the third go by (15 minutes sitting there) my husband said ‘excuse me could we have some menus and a cup of coffee? She begrudgingly handed menus but no coffee…. another 25 to 30 minutes went by and my husband got up and said ‘this is it I’m done’ I turned to one of the two waitresses who had been past us multiple times and said ‘what is the problem here?we’ve been sitting here for almost 45 minutes’ she said ‘well did you check in?’ I said ‘excuse me, we walked in the front door and sat down. Are we invisible? We are sitting right next to three other tables of people that you have served and talk to but you haven’t even acknowledged our presence.’ — (And all of the people of those tables said the service was miserable —- and the question did we check in? I have to laugh at! What is this the Ritz?! ) I can assure you the food is not worth this kind of treatment. We will never go here again. as much as we enjoy various restaurants on Jekyll Island this one is off the list. We walked out and will never walk back in. Fortunately, we made it with two minutes to spare to enjoy breakfast at Tortuga Jack’s. They are kind and friendly. Give that restaurant your business when you’re on...
Read moreMy wife and I took my oldest son, his wife and our grandson to dinner as our waitress at the Sunrise Grille recommended Tribuzio’s as a good family restaurant. The location is great being near the golf course and in fact during our dinner approximately 18 deer walked across the driving range which thrilled our grandson. Although the atmosphere is more that of a golf course clubhouse it was very comfortable and definitely kid friendly, which was what we were looking for. Our waiter, Jeiden, was very personable for such a young man and he interacted often with our grandson, much to his delight. The food was very good and offered a nice variety of dishes which ranged from steaks to seafood. Both my wife and daughter-in-law had the fresh Grouper which they totally enjoyed. My son and I had the 14-oz ribeyes, which were cooked as requested but somewhat on the thin size which was not what we expected. The onion rings were great and we all capped off the meal with GREAT deserts! If you are on Jekyll Island looking for a very reasonable dinner in a family setting, I would highly recommend...
Read moreTonight I visited Tribuzio's Grille and order a medium well burger. The first burger was burned, so I asked for the manager and explained that my burger should have been medium well. He offered to have another made. The attached picture is the burger that was supposed to replace my previously burned burger. As you can see it was also burned. Note, the outside was burned, while the inside was pink! I asked for the manager a second time and it took him much longer to arrive. When he arrived and I showed him my burger, I was told that they grill their burgers. My friend shared that we were in the night before and her burger was not burned. As a matter of fact, I decided to get a burger tonight based on the looks of her burger yesterday. The manger was apathetic, but removed the item from my bill. However, it should be noted that a grilled burger is not the same as burned burger! Yesterday, I would have rated my meal 4 stars as my reuben and coleslaw were good which why we returned tonight. I would rate today's burger and the way the situation was...
