Being a former Restaurant Manager & Retired Business owner. I have never experienced the type treatment and service in a Waffle House ever. The waitress 🟣 took our order. The Steamed Hash Browns ordered came Fried and Hot Grits ordered came Cold. When pointing that out the Waitress stated "We Are in a Rush Right Now ". Then walked away offering no replacement of the food items with properly cooked/prepared items. There were two attempts to see if she "Our Waitress would resolve the issues to No Avail. We stopped the male Cook and advised him of the issue and he did bring properly cooked hash browns (steamed not fried) a few minutes later and another serving of grits that were almost as cold as the first order of grits. When grits don't steam a little in the warming pot before served the butter will not melt . The second serving of grits was cold also, except instead of near ice cold they were room temperature cold. This crew needs to go to any of the 3 Waffle Houses in Statesboro Ga. for retraining . The Waffle House Crews in Statesboro are very busy and swamped often due to the # of residents in the county, the visitors plus 25k college students. They know how to call out orders and get the orders correct the first time. They also do not serve cold food and if something is incorrect they correct it with an apology and a smile. The Waffle House had 4 workers in Georgetown last night, just a few minutes before midnight on 4/10/21. They were not rushed. Or Swamped/Crowded at all. It Just appeared that there were 4 to 6 call in take out orders happening or walk-in take out orders going on at any given time. They also had two employees cooking and two servers/waitresses on duty. There were 4 person's other than myself & my wife "a former waitress" sitting in the booths attempting to eat. When paying before leaving our waitress stated " I'm sorry the food was terrible " with a little smirk. My wife said " Yes it was". While exiting the double doors before the first door shut we could hear the waitress shouting to her co workers " They weren't happy with anything " ( She thought that we were outside the door already ) " If the waitress were not making a b line to the back every few minutes to pull a phone out of her purse to check it and put it back in her purse she might have been able to concentrate and call out orders to the cook correctly. I have the receipt and can provide photo of it if...
Read moreThis by far has gots to be the worst Waffle House EVER, or this late-night-early- morning isn’t going the best for me today.
I paid Uber to take me to Waffle House on Gateway, but unfortunately, the 24 hour restaurant had decided to stop taking orders and was temporarily closed for the night.
I then ordered another Uber to the nearest Waffle House around which was this location off King George.
I sat down and wasn’t proper greeted. It’s late, I took it they had a rough night.
I ordered a blueberry waffle and a coke to drink.
I was given my waffle without any utensils.
After asking for utensils, I was given plastic silverware as if I was ordering/eating to-go.
I ordered an All-Star meal, add sausage, to go with the waffle I previously ordered. It was brought to me in plastic to-go packaging for me to eat at the table.
Not to mention, my glass of coke has been empty since before ordering the All-Star meal and the he meal also came WITHOUT the sausage asked for and was charged for.
Total Paid to get here: $34 Total Cost of the mea:$18
I’ve already spent $52 and still have to get home. Employees should be more mindful of their guests and...
Read moreDO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION AFTER HOURS!!! Arrived at 3:15am. Place was TRASHED and I am no where near exaggerating. At least 3 tables dirty with food that had been sitting to where it was dried on the plates. No one cooking no one sitting tables. NO ONE ANYWHERE. We were super confused. Guy comes from the office with a vape of all things. No shame or discretion at all and he has the audacity to put it up to his lips and says nothing. How gross!!!! That one act alone is a major violation when it comes to food handling and consumption. Call the health department!!!! With the filth on multiple tables and no visible staff present NO WAY WERE WE GOING TO SPEND OUR MONEY HERE. We leave and see the guy walk back to the office. While we’re searching for another Waffle House a young lady comes from the back and stands at the cooking station. Both appeared to not have a care in the world. Didn’t even try to clean or make themselves busy. I’m not a fan of people losing their jobs but throw the whole staff away immediately and start from scratch. Who ever those individuals were displayed a lack of respect for their employer...
